The Tamm Loft is on the upper level of the historical Tamm Building, a renovated two-story brick building on the National Register of Historic Places in Downtown Washington, Missouri.
Once the home and shoe business of George Tamm until 1925, it is now an attorney’s office with the Tamm Loft above and the Tamm Studio on the street level.
Bring your mom and sisters for a wine country getaway, ride the Katy Trail, or celebrate a wedding at one of the nearby wedding venues. The Tamm Loft is in the heart of WashMo and Missouri wine country and less than an hour from St. Louis.
The Tamm Loft is the upper level of the renovated 1864 brick building and has 2 bedrooms, 1-1/2 bathrooms, kitchen, and living area. It sleeps a total of 6 people.
Over a century old, natural light floods through the large windows. The tin ceiling in the bedroom, the restored woodwork throughout, and the hardwood floors add a beautiful charm to the loft.
The Tamm Loft is dog friendly for pre-approved dogs only.
THE LOFT
Located on the second level of the building, you’ll go up a set of stairs to enter the space. The living area on the main level of the loft and is an open floor plan showcasing the tall windows and hardwood floors.
The great room has a queen sleeper sofa, a flat screen TV, and an electric fireplace. The dining area has an antique dining table with six chairs.
The full kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals, including place settings, pots and pans, wine glasses, and both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker.
The main level bedroom has a king size bed with crisp white linens and a view of Jefferson Street.
The second bedroom is up the industrial stairs and open to the main level, with a king size bed and a view of the Missouri River. The en suite bathroom has a large jetted tub and a walk-in shower.
The half bathroom is located off the kitchen area.
BALCONY
The small balcony off the great room overlooks Jefferson Street and has a view of downtown building rooftops and the Missouri River.
LAUNDRY
The washer and dryer is located in the upper bedroom and is accessible to guests.
PARKING
There is plenty of free street parking on both Jefferson and Second Street.
LOCATION
Two blocks from the river and a short walk to all the best stops in downtown Washington.
Around the corner from boutique shops, local pubs, cafes, and restaurants, and the festival zone, as well as a couple blocks from the Missouri River, the Amtrak Station, and the Riverfront Park, you’ll enjoy keeping your car parked and taking strolls to your destination.
Downtown Washington is a destination on its own, but if you want to explore further out, you don’t have far to go:

Our stay was entirely satisfactory with no issues. Clean, well-decorated, comfortable bed, nice tub, well-stocked with kitchen appliances and cookware, games available, lots of books, good wifi. Easy check in, easy check out.

The loft was so cozy with most everything we needed for meal prep and a nice dining experience at the table. The bedrooms were comfortable, clean and inviting. The view was outstanding as was the very walkable neighborhood.The hosts were more than accommodating because we had some bad weather and they gave us ample time to get away on our journey home.

The Loft is located in the perfect location in downtown Washington. You can look over the Missouri River as you eat breakfast at the kitchen bar. The living space is roomy and comfortable for a family or cozy enough for a couple.
We have stayed there twice now while visiting our daughter. It is a great space that makes you feel like you’re at home.
