Awesome place! Stand-alone beachfront home with private heatable pool, and an fantastic all-on-one-level floor plan! Recently replaced decks everywhere, with extra gates to corral kids. Erica's Sandpiper rocks! Yes, that ticks all the common question boxes: is it a home? Yes. Is it beachfront, yes! Does it have a pool? Yes! Is the pool private? Yes! Can the pool be heated. Yes! This spacious upscale home gives you your own private covered pool added to an already fabulous home. Erica's Sandpiper is a very cool option. It, along with my Summertide home, are likely the only 8 bedroom homes with all 8 bedrooms on the same floor! Can't quite afford my homes with elevators but have some mobility concerns? Single floor!

Erica's Sandpiper is located directly on the Gulf Coast. The only thing between you and the Gulf is beach and, of course, your own private covered swimming pool and spacious Gulf front deck.
Other amenities include TWO refrigerators, televisions, dvd players, cable, internet, 2 large living areas, and covered parking. The master bath has a shower and tub. Multiple bedrooms have balcony access.
Erica's Sandpiper is a truly luxurious EIGHT bedroom home with all the deluxe amenities you've come to expect from our vacation homes and many surprises! She books quickly even a year out.
Erica's Sandpiper, by the way, is RIGHT NEXT DOOR to my Egret home (6 bedroom, also single story), so if you need more room to spread out, rent both (if either is even available... these go fast!).
What else? More of course!
TWO REFRIGERATORS
Yes, two per side. Because... you need a lot of space for shrimp and beverages!
POOL? You bet!
Pool is under the home. A bit like an indoor pool. Big: 24x12x3-5 FT Rectangle! Great respite from hot hot hot, as well as inclement weather! Heatable too (nightly surcharge applies). Added a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82' (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a nightly surcharge (varies by season and with gas market price, has been $60-85 per night, just inquire, and must be for length of stay (this is based on market pricing for propane gas, and can change at any time, both up and down, until added to a reservation). Fee subject to change due to incredibly high gas rates right now. Simply request the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and at least a week before check in so we can get it on before you arrive.
PARKING
There is available onsite parking for at least 8 cars. More if you park under them home and stack carefully.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.

We loved, loved, LOVED the beach house and we're considering making this an annual trip if not every other year. If you'll have us, that is. In fact, I talked it up so much to my family, another vacation may be in the works with the fam as well! I so wanted to take advantage of your booking discount however I wasn't sure of everyone's availability.

We have stayed in Gulf Shores, AL with Bama Beach Houses three times now in the past several years at three different beach houses. The last two houses were one level houses, Summertide and Erica's Sandpiper. Both of those houses have eight (8) bedrooms. We had no problems at any of their houses, the management company was responsive when contacted (entry code did not work once), and the owners were also very responsive. Our stay this year at Erica's Sandpiper was remarkable. Plenty of room for our crew of nineteen (19), big kitchen with two (2) refrigerators, bathrooms en-suite in each bedroom, large rectangular heated pool under the house, easy access to the beach. We already are looking forward to returning next year.
