We are Jonathan and Gail Steidl, the owners of Lakeside Escape. Great news!!! Our first floor remodel has been completed and excited to share this house with our guests. We found our dream home and would like to share this vacation home with you! This has been a vacation home for many years and hundreds of families have left wonderful reviews, we love hearing about your awesome memories. Also Summers in Wisconsin is absolute paradise, we have a wood fireplace indoor and a outdoor fire pit, a brand new hot tub to look over the exquisite views.
Our home is your home! located in Wautoma, WI on Irogami Lake in beautiful Waushara County, WI, our 2900 sq. ft. vacation home has all that you need to have the best get-a-way possible.
Exquisitely decorated and complete with 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, 3 smart TV's, super fast Wifi, including a 65- inch screen in the living room and a spacious lake front recreation playground, you will find it hard to leave! Oh did we mention it sleeps 18 comfortably?
In the spacious living room, with a dazzling view of Irogami Lake, you will also enjoy a large wood-burning fireplace and a 65 inch 4k Television. Our large game room, which also overlooks the lake, includes a 50-inch flat TV, foosball table, darts and game table, also included in lake volleyball net, a rack full of DVD's and so much more!
But why stay indoors when the outdoor seating is a panoramic premium for your entire party. Overlooking the lake is a fire pit for those late night bonfires with plenty of wood available. This stunning home also comes with a gas grill, private pier, water volleyball, canoe, two kayaks and a paddle boat.. Irogami Lake is a 290 acre sand bottom, fishing swimming and boating lake.
You will not find a better vacation home to relax, refresh and enjoy. Perfect for family gatherings , reunions, group getaways, business and spiritual retreats.
Attention golfers! There are two large golf courses just a few miles from the lodge: Waushara Country Club, a lovely 27-hole course open to the public and Two Oaks North, a novice friendly 18 hole golf course. There are also many more courses located within 30 minutes of Wautoma, including Lawsonia in Green Lake, WI. voted " One of the top 100 Classic Golf Courses in the U.S", ranked #60 by Golfweek in 2017, Lawsonia has been one of Wisconsin's very best golf destinations for generations.
We also offer a Winter Wonderland! Just five miles away from the lodge is Nordic Mountain Ski and Tubing Hill. This resort offers runs for the whole family, a very fun and exciting tubing park, restaurant and a wonderful family atmosphere. Off season, mountain bike trails take you thru a gorgeous area of our state. Other skiing attractions include Granite Peak and Cascade Mountain, both approximately 1- hr. away. Waushara County has wonderful snowmobile trails throughout the county and with over 96 lakes, ice fishing is at a premium. Local marinas can outfit you with bait and tackle.

We also want to disclose that we have Ring cameras on the property, we did not want to resort to this but we have been experiencing costly damage to our property and had no choice but to install cameras on the outside of the property. We have two in the front for people and guests who enter onto the property and we have one on our pontoon boat in the back. We respect our renters privacy and these are only to be used for security only and to monitor the pontoon boat. Thanks for understanding.

It was a quick adult getaway and the lakeside escape was perfect! The house was clean and well stocked. We made use of the French press for coffee and appreciated the snacks and water the host left. We enjoyed a quiet kayak around the whole lake and the hot tub. We hope to come back for another visit with our family.

Our hosts were friendly. We rented their pontoon boat and enjoyed the lake. Our grandsons used the two kayaks to fish and caught more than they could count. There were three full bathrooms, one for each family. The beds were comfortable and clean. The hosts just renovated the main floor and it was beautiful. The kitchen was spacious which was a plus considering that we had three families cooking at the same time. Everyone said they had a fun time!

We enjoyed our stay. Loved the lakeside escape the house and amenities were great. Kid toys, fun lake items, etc were a bonus to keep kids entertained. We enjoyed walks through the neighborhood. Only downside was it is close to a highly traveled road so time on the deck or in the lake wasn’t as serene as we’d hoped it would be.

Very clean, well kept and well-stocked house for our needs! Enjoyed using the paddle boat, kayaks and canoe, fishing, as well as the hot tub!If the temps outside were warmer, we would have done a lot more swimming in the lake!Games and puzzle were fun to use as well as the fire pit for s’mores!
