Sleeping up to 5 guests, The Tide Watcher is a spacious and modern place to settle into with the whole family or group. At the end of a busy day exploring the Bay of Islands, sit back and enjoy a glass of wine on the sundeck and watch the turn of the tide.
With direct access to the ferry, right on your doorstep - you'll be perfectly set-up to take the ferry to Opua. From here you can make your way up to Paihia, further on to Cape Reinga, 90 Mile Beach, or cruise the Hole in the Rock.
Summer or winter, relaxation or exploration - The Tide Watcher has you covered!
Adults should closely supervise young children to ensure that they do not climb the bench seat at the top of the stairs due to risk of falling.
All guests should take care when using the internal stairs as they are steep and do not have a handrail.
Please note that the property is accessible by the Opua to Okiato vehicle ferry, which is located just down the road from the property

wonderful location, ( apart from the noisy ferry lol) perfect amount of space, wonderful stay. Just in regards to checking in if improvements could be made by stating the lockbox is in the far left corner up high it was a little bit hard to find. Also I didn’t get an email with the check in details. Otherwise other than the dryer plug not working and having to pull it out from the wall and plug it into another plug everything was great. Just those minor improvements needed. Lastly really appreciated the complementary late checkout. Would definitely recommend to others

Lovely house, well situated, beautiful views. Comfy beds, great showers. Provided everything we needed. However, lower bedroom still has damp musty smell and we had no wifi and no Netflix as modem had failed and needed replacing. Property manager responded immediately to internet problem and replacement arranged. Read comments about noise from ferry wharf but we did not find this intrusive.
