The Space:
SunDestin Beach Resort sits on the sparkling sands of the Gulf of Mexico, right in the heart of Destin, FL. There's many amenities on-site, including an outdoor and an outdoor hot tub, a fitness center, meeting space, charcoal grills. The Sea Store, a souvenir and convenience store right in the lobby, and more! Seasonally, you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach for an additional fee and grab a drink at the outdoor tiki bar. Plus, the Scenic Stays team is available 24 hours a day at the front desk for any questions you may have or things you need.
Step into SunDestin 712 and be greeted by a completely updated, coastal space. The kitchen is right inside the front door and has beautiful, upgraded counters and appliances and is fully equipped with everything you need to make meals. The living space is all open concept with a large dining room and living room with floor to ceiling windows with views of the gulf and the surrounding Destin area. The decor has been thoughtfully chosen to bring the colors of the coast indoors. On the balcony, you'll find the best views of the Emerald Coast and access to the master bedroom. This room has a king sized bed and a large ensuite bath. The guest room has a queen sized bed plus twin bunk beds. This space is perfect for kids. There's a private bathroom for this room as well, and there's a queen-sized sofa bed in the living room for additional sleeping. With all these beds, this two-bedroom condo sleeps eight guests comfortably.
Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.
Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.
With everything in Destin less than five miles from the resort, you won't find a better location. The Destin Harbor is just four miles west, with many dining options. Big Kahuna's Water Park is less than a mile away and so is The Track Destin. There's plenty of options nearby if you want to spend a day off the sand. Please note that the splash pad is currently not operable and will remain closed until further notice while ownership determines future plans for the area. The fitness center remains open for guest use during this time.
Guests may continue to enjoy beach access via the ADA-accessible pathway located around the side of the building. Please also note that there is currently a temporary detour in place for lobby access as enhancement work continues in select areas of the resort.
While construction activity is still present on-site, it is now far less invasive than it has been previously as the project enters its final stages and crews continue winding down operations. We are thoughtfully welcoming reservations while setting clear expectations in advance to help ensure a comfortable and positive stay during this improvement phase.

This was our 4th time staying with Sundestin and our 4th unit. As far as the unit itself, upon arrival it appeared clean but shortly after we noticed small things like the bathrooms and floor needed attention. The floors felt dirty and left black residue on our feet after just one walk. Aside from that everything else was clean. The beds were comfortable, the linens were fine, ample amounts of towels and everything was fine. As far as kitchen needs, our other 3 stays with sundestin small things like salt and pepper, non stick spray, knives(beside butter knives) are supplied). Not a deal breaker but this unit had none of these. At no fault of the owners the main living TV did go out during our stay but maintenance was able to give us a loaner for the duration as they contacted the owner to replace. Was a little disruption with kids at night but no huge deal with the bedroom tvs. We like to clean as we go and this unit did not have a broom and dustpan available for guest use or any other cleaning supplies for that matter. This would help with the accumulation of sand and make it easier on the cleaning folks at the end of the stay. The location of sundestin is great and we will be back. Guess services are always great and easy to work with. The change of pelicans roost to phat fish seems to be a little bit negative. Prices have increased and service has decreased. The server/bartender has a dry sense of humor and was very rude to several customers. We were here while the facility is under construction and even so, it caused minor disruption to the flow of things and guests. We had an overall great stay and will return in the future. Nice to see improvements taking place.

Beautiful views ,Clean Units , Friendly Staff , Inside Stores, & Food. Beach outside wash off areas . ?Washers & Dryers in the main ocean front unit . Is a must. Hassle to walk around up and down for quarters. Also in &out of unit to wash clothes for a big family.

The only issues were that the pool was closed and we had to wash towels and rags every day for eight of us . They told us that we could buy a bundle . But I don’t think we should have to do that . There were 8 of us for days .. The hot water in the showers were barely lukewarm. The construction started early in the mornings.

Everything was nice and clean. The only problem I had was the conditions of the beds. The one I slept in was sinking badly in the middle and I didn’t get a good nights rest because of it.
