Mere footsteps from the Gulf of Mexico, centrally-located SunDestin Beach Resort in Destin, FL, is your one-stop shop for a fun-filled, family vacation. Check out the lobby gift shop for beach supplies before heading out to the newly-renovated outdoor pool. Take advantage of seasonal amenities, including beach chair/umbrella rentals (fee) and an outdoor tiki bar. Spend the afternoon soaking up the sun or indulging in the outdoor hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Get in some cardio at the fitness facility, and grab complimentary DVD rentals to enjoy at your leisure. SunDestin Unit 0112 is a gorgeous two bedroom, two bathroom, ground-floor condo accommodating up to nine. Ease into this inviting, open-concept retreat featuring a calm palette, plush furnishings, and distinctive decor. Prepare snacks for the whole crew in the spacious, fully-appointed kitchen loaded with plenty of cabinet and counter space. Gather for meals at the breakfast bar with seating for three or around the dining table comfortably accommodating six. Convene in the living room on cozy furniture and, with three flat-screen TV’s in the unit, everyone can watch whatever they want wherever they want. All will appreciate the many private spaces in the unit and easy access to the beach. Abundant sleeping arrangements include a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, twin beds in the guest room, twin over double-bunk bed in the bunk room, and a king-sized bed in the master suite!
From coastal eateries and tropical cocktails to plentiful shopping and endless boating excursions, you’ll find it all at HarborWalk Marina in the Destin harbor just five minutes away!
Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Guests may continue to enjoy beach access via the ADA-accessible pathway located around the side of the building. Please also note that there is currently a temporary detour in place for lobby access as enhancement work continues in select areas of the resort.
While construction activity is still present on-site, it is now far less invasive than it has been previously as the project enters its final stages and crews continue winding down operations. We are thoughtfully welcoming reservations while setting clear expectations in advance to help ensure a comfortable and positive stay during this improvement phase.

This condo should not have been rented out due to the construction, taking place as they were working on our balcony and outside our window, so we were unable to open the curtains our entire stay. What I love most about the beach is the view and we had no view. We had small children and they were unable to even take naps during the day because of the noise of the construction. I love staying at this location, but it was very disappointing this time.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Our condo was conveniently located on the first floor in front of the splash pad. This was perfect as we had 5 children (2 under 1) and we didn’t have to worry about waiting on an elevator. We were also able to let the bigger kids play on the splash pad while we sat on the porch. Quick walk to the beach. The Track and Big Kahuna right down the road as well as numerous restaurants.
There are a few thing that could be done for improvement though. Only half the outlets worked in our condo which was inconvenient. Beds were worn and need to be updated. We actually went out and bought a mattress topper. The refrigerator freezer was finicky. We were there for 4 nights and I put popsicles in there the first day and they still never froze. I also put 2 water bottles in at the same time and only 1 froze. It was odd. Tubberware would have been helpful. One of the drains in the bathroom did not drain well. My main complaint is the parking situation. Only 1 vehicle was allowed to park at the resort. Our 2nd vehicle (2 families) had to park across and down the street in a sketchy gravel parking lot with no security. The main parking lot had plenty of spaces but we were still told the 2nd vehicle still had to park down the road or would be towed. This was really a hassle with small children and the rain. Also, they were seriously understaffed at the restaurant & bar. I waited close to an hour for a drink because the bartender had to help in the kitchen too. He was wonderful and very apologetic but they should have been better staffed during the SUMMER in Destin on the beach. There was also an outdoor bar by the splash pad but it was closed the whole time we were there.
