This property was pet-friendly, which can be a blessing and a curse. We lost power for 6 hours one very hot night and the smell of urine in the living room became overwhelming as the humidity built up. In addition, some of the windows did not open so we had little cross breeze. One of our dogs got sick the last week of our stay so we borrowed a carpet shampooer and cleaned the living room carpeting. We cleaned twice and then rinsed and the water was still dirty. The owners posted house rules on the refrigerator, but because the owners didn't always follow the rules, some tenants in the other rental unit thought they could let their pets run loose as well. Also, dog poo in the front yard were annoying to dodge for about 2 wks.The location was great; we really enjoyed walking the dogs in the area so they could smell the deer and other critters. We found plenty to do. The space in the unit was ample, but there were so many pots, pans and glasses that we had a hard time finding a place to put our groceries. I think I counted 13 skillets and most of the plates were chipped as were the bowls. Overall, we thought the cleanliness left much to be desired. Dead bugs on walls, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was caked with gunk (we cleaned it off), the light switches were icky, the air return vents were disgusting, we went and bought a new dish drainer and threw out old spices from 2019. We went and bought a 6' Swifter to clean the dust hanging on the ceiling fans.
