The Greenleaf House

The staff were lovely, rooms were clean. Nice facilities, massive bed. Massive kitchen, we could leave our snacks in the fridge. Bathroom was lovely and shampoo and body wash was provided along with clean towels.

An email said we could check-in to just leave our bags but not enter our room at 12pm, however they had not updated the code until 3pm. We had to wait with our bags during a thunderstorm as we had planned to leave our bags and go. Downstairs was lovely and cold, due to air-conditioning but upstairs was humid and hot. It felt like you had walked into a room where someone had a hot shower, except you couldn't escape the heat anywhere on the top floor.

I visited Chicago during a festival week that’s why i couldn’t book 6 consecutive nights at one place and booked 3 different hotels and hostels. Staying at Greenleaf was the highlight of my trip. Amazing neighborhood, cleanness, homey atmosphere, kitchen with full facilities. Will be back for sure. And it’s super close to public transportation ALSO you can easily find free parking

Communications from the staff could improve

Appreciated the location and the hominess. It was apparent that there is a lot of attention put into making people feel "at home" and comfortable. I also felt safe and well-taken care of, especially after I had trouble with the access code. Someone came almost immediately to help (thank you!). At first I wasn't sure about sharing bathrooms, but there were no problems at all, and the bathrooms were spotless and spacious! The kitchen amenities were great to have. Overall, really nice!

Maybe clean the cobwebs that were rampant on the outside of the house, but I'm not picky lol.

Room #2 was quite warm during the summer months — only one AC vent plus one fan.
