Founded in 1925, Belmont Park is a beachfront amusement park and home to the historic Giant Dipper roller coaster and Plunge swimming pool. The Giant Dipper is a 2,600-foot-long wooden coaster and reaches speeds up to 48 mph. Enjoy more than a dozen thrilling rides, attractions, casual restaurants and gift shops. Entrance admission and parking are free.
THE PLUNGE®
Originally built in 1925, The Plunge is newly renovated historic beachside pool in the heart of Mission Beach located in Belmont Park at the Fit Athletic Club., in the heart of Mission Beach. The pool includes historical features from the original structure but now features a contemporary design with floor-to-ceiling glass walls for ocean views and a retractable roof! Swim passes for The Plunge at Fit are available to general public and can be purchased on-site at the north entrance of the pool.

Also known as Oceanfront Boardwalk, the Mission Beach Boardwalk is a concrete walkway that spans about 3.5 miles from North Pacific Beach to South Mission Beach. Stroll along the scenic waterfront path that’s popular with tourists and locals alike and take in the sights. Enjoy biking, skating, skateboarding and jogging. A variety of bike and skate rentals are located nearby. Our favorite is CHEAP RENTALS – mention you’re staying with the San Diego Beach King for discounts.

Excellent place. Great view. Very clean. Had everything we needed. We were expecting 2 king beds, but there was one king and one queen. That was the only negative.

Just had a three night stay at this beautiful property where I brought my mom for a trip to the coast. The location was lovely, the views were stunning, and the home was incredibly comfortable and well equipped. I hope to be back again sometime soon!

Fantastic view of the beach and the relaxing sound of the waves was amazing. There are a lot of short term rentals around and young partiers woke us up multiple times. In spite of this, I would still rent again in a second.
