About this house rental
This home has everything you could need, river access, it's close to The Horseshoe, Whitewater Amphitheater, Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn, Comal River, Gruene, Wimberly, Driftwood and the list goes on. Relax, unwind, and take it easy. You can go canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing right out the back door. The Horseshoe and the Whitewater Amphitheater is 1 mile away from the house. This property is great for fly fishing, we are located on the Trophy trout zone where over 18,000 Rainbow and brown trout are stocked during the months of December-February just up river below the dam. The house has fishing poles available for use. Our home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, plus an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. It sleeps 8 comfortably but has a fold out couch and queen mattress. There are shades in all the rooms and the back room with the queen and bunk beds has blackout shades. It offers a full kitchen with island with 4 bar stools, and table with seating for 8. Living room has 60’ TV, Blue-ray player. The back deck has multiple levels including an area with a fire pit overlooking the river. There is a table with umbrella overlooking the water, plus an 8 person polywood picnic table with an umbrella, also an amazing observation deck overlooking the river that is built around a large Cypress Tree. Outside you have an outdoor shower with hot water, gas grill, stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and a Canoe that seats 2. We have various kid and adult life jackets as well as water shoes located in the outdoor shed. We had a great visit just before Thanksgiving. We made use of the kayaks and canoe to paddle around in the river and even explore the nature trails across the way. The outdoor spaces are incredible at this property; lots of places to sit quietly and enjoy the dozens of kinds of birds and other critters that call this waterway home. The house itself was very clean and tidy. Well-stocked with everything we needed. Beds were quite comfortable, and we had plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. Overall a great property! We at Elio's Italian restaurant (5 minutes away) one night and it was incredible - highly recommend!

The house is beautiful and has most all the amenities. The back porch area is stunning and very well done. Beds are comfy. Lots of hot water, good a/c and heat. House could use more small spoons, an electric can opener and wood bundles for outdoor fire. The host was not responsive. Questions went unanswered.

Stayed this past weekend for a girls trip. Upon arriving the house seems small on the outside but once you go in it opens up. There were 6 of us total with plenty of sleeping armament options! The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels, toilet paper, and even some body washes-not sure if they were left behind by previous guests but it was nice! The laundry rooms was well stocked with detergents. The kitchen too was well stocked. Plenty of supplies for cleaning up. There was a tradition coffee maker, Keurig, a percolator and I want to say I saw a stove top espresso maker. The stove is gas powered and very easy to operate. Plenty of room to move around the kitchen. There were two doors that led to the back- one in the kitchen and the other is the sunroom bedroom. The one off the kitchen got used a lot in the morning to avoid waking up those that were still sleeping in the sunroom bedroom. River access was a breeze!! For those that are curious about the depth, I am 5’8” the water in the middle went to my hips. Further past the middle to the other side it got up to my chest. It is more of a muddy/sediment bottom than to rock but still very easy to walk around. It is a gentle current which made it easy to paddle up river on the paddles boards. The patio/desk it’s self was a great sitting around. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to bring and outdoor broom to sweep off a bit-it did not bother our group since most of us have traveled to this area a lot. Great property and will return!

This home had everything we needed! Clean and comfortable with a great view. Our family used the canoe, kayaks, and paddle boards which were all in great condition. Great location! Can’t wait to come back.
