Not a fancy neighborhood but a quiet one. The rooms and the house is very clean. Our host is very accommodating and easy to reach. The kitchen is very friendly with lots of pots and plates to use.

We came for the Alabama Plant show at the Von Braun Center. Locating was absolutely prefect for us. The rooms were cozy and comfortable.

The initial pictures were accurate, older home, but fixed up. Communication for check in was provided quickly when asked for the day before. The neighborhood was run down. The bedroom windows face the neighbors backyard, which had a barking chihuahua. Host was kind to bring me an iron and a keurig like machine the 1st night. Unfortunately, there was a cockroach in the bedroom closet. Host responded quickly with someone to come spray. The fear was there because where there is one in plain daylight, there are hundreds more. Gentlemen said it was not the "bad kind". But having my luggages on the floor was very uneasy. On our last day, another cockroach came out from behind the stove while I was cooking! That was it for me. I was glad to be leaving the next morning. Im sure there are folks who dont mind crawlers. And if close proximity to the event centers in downtown is a must, then you will be happy with this place. A.C. works great, but switch board is in one of the rooms, so you here a buzzing sound everytime the air goes on. That's what I'll share with all truthfulness.
