Beautifully and newly built with your comfort and vacation experience in mind, this home is the perfect spot to settle in for your next escape to Gold Beach. This Oregon Coast retreat features a polished kitchen with a large island, sleek contemporary design, and brand new stainless steel appliances, as well as a comfortable dining and living room where guests can enjoy time together. Outside, you'll love relaxing on a spacious deck that overlooks the waters of Riley Creek. The front porch swing is something enjoyed by kids and parents along with seniors–the perfect place to unwind!

A reputable architect designed the duplex to take maximum advantage of the surrounding geography in a manner that would create a serene and private setting for its occupants. The area is quiet, the sounds of nature abundant, and the gurgling creek soothing (which when flowing at its usual pace can be heard when inside either dwelling), and visits from deer, bugling elk, wild turkeys, and the occasional owl or bear are daily reminders of one’s connection with nature. The placement of the carport between the two parts of the duplex, as well as the layout and position of each home in relation to the other, was designed to maximize the exposure of each to nature and to maintain privacy between the dwellings.

There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. No dishwasher soap or laundry soap. The towels and bed linens had soured. We contacted the property manager multiple times. We were told the local team would correct the problems ASAP. We did receive dishwasher soap, however they didn't bother to start the machine. the property appears to be newly remodeled not newly built. The shower is inconvenient to say the least. You can't turn on the water without getting wet/ It is a great location however the management is lacking.

What a first glance seemed like a very nice Vrbo, soon revealed its ugly side. Mold/mildew smell in the bathroom, kitchen sink and laundry room—confirmed by the presence of silverfish in the sinks, tub and toilet. The shower was a DYI nightmare! Rigged up with nasty plastic around a freestanding tub with no place to put soap or shampoo. The floor tiles had large spaces , presumably to clean up leaking water. The kitchen surface was wood that was not sealed properly—prompting more signage not to put anything wet on those surfaces.

Overall, the house was comfortable! The bath and shower curtain situation was a bit obnoxious but manageable. Their is a rooster next door that will wake you up before dawn. We found we could not sleep with the windows open because it sounded like it was right outside the window.

The Riley Creek Bungalow was perfect for a short trip to the coast for my sister and me, and our two dogs. The location is close and convenient to the town and beach, but is in a quiet, leafy setting that is relaxing and private. The dogs loved being close to the creek! The bungalow was very attractive, nicely furnished, and included many thoughtful amenities. We loved it and would definitely rent it again!

Myself, my wife, and a couple of friends stayed here for two nights during our California/Oregon roadtrip. Pros:The property is easy to find, and checking in was smooth. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery. There is a laundry room stocked with detergent.Cons:The kitchen and bathroom counters appear to have an untreated wood finish. You’ll notice a sign on the kitchen counter that says to keep the counter dry as wetness can ruin the finish. While, perhaps, aesthetically pleasing to look at, it’s a highly impractical choice. Treating the wood with some kind of sealant would solve the problem. The shower is one of those stand-alone tubs with a curtain that goes 360 degrees around. As a previous reviewer said, it’s like showering inside a trash bag- not an enjoyable experience. The hot water cut off on our last night forcing myself to take a shower in frigid conditions. Given some time, the owner may have been able to make this right, but we left the next day.Don’t expect to sleep much later than 5:30AM-6:00AM if you’re a light sleeper. There is a Rooster next door that starts going around that time. Thankfully, for me, that was around the time I was getting up each day anyway. I realize it’s not something under the owners control, but one should be aware. Overall, we mostly enjoyed our stay, but a few key changes to the space would bump my review up a couple of stars
