Luxuriously appointed Villa Katerina is set in a peaceful location in Western Crete, surrounded by spectacular views of the White Mountains and the sea. Offering privacy, comfort and a close connection with nature, the villa is an ideal retreat for those looking to experience the beauty and tranquillity of the Cretan landscape.
Villa Katerina is officially registered with the Greek Tourism Organisation (EOT) and holds the Special Sign of the Greek Tourism Organisation (EOT-1042K122K015040000).
The villa has recently undergone an external renovation, including the creation of a contemporary Mediterranean garden inspired by the natural character of Crete. The outdoor spaces combine gravel surfaces with carefully selected Mediterranean and drought-tolerant plants, creating a simple, natural and low-maintenance landscape that is well adapted to the local climate.
The garden has been designed with an eco-conscious approach, using plants suited to the Mediterranean environment and requiring less water once established. The combination of gravel and climate-appropriate planting reduces water consumption and maintenance while creating a landscape that complements the architecture and blends naturally with the surrounding Cretan countryside.
At the heart of the outdoor area is the villa's private 40 sqm heated salt-water swimming pool. Pool heating is provided at no additional cost, allowing guests to enjoy the pool comfortably not only during the warmest summer months but also during the cooler periods of the season. The salt-water system provides a pleasant swimming experience while reducing the need for conventional chlorine treatment.
Comfortable wooden sun loungers and outdoor seating areas surround the pool, creating peaceful spaces for relaxing, reading or simply enjoying the views. The outdoor areas are designed to make the most of the Mediterranean climate and the villa's beautiful natural setting.
The villa accommodates up to six guests in three comfortable bedrooms. One bedroom is located on the ground floor and features a king-size double bed and an en-suite shower room with a hydromassage shower.
The two remaining bedrooms are located on the first floor. One features a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath, while the other has a large double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a hydromassage shower.
Both upstairs bedrooms open onto a large veranda overlooking the olive groves, the White Mountains and the sea. It is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee, a leisurely breakfast or a glass of local wine while taking in the spectacular Cretan landscape.
On the ground floor, an open-plan living and dining area provides a comfortable space for relaxing and spending time together. It features a large sofa, an armchair and a large LCD television.
The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and everything needed to prepare meals during your stay.
The entire villa is air-conditioned for comfort during the hot summer months. During the cooler periods of the year, heating is available throughout the villa, while a cosy fireplace in the living room creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Firewood is provided in a designated outdoor area.
The outdoor spaces invite guests to enjoy the slower rhythm of Mediterranean living – long breakfasts in the morning, relaxing afternoons by the pool and dinners outdoors on warm Cretan evenings.
Nature and local produce are also an important part of the Villa Katerina experience. Guests can enjoy seasonal fruit and vegetables from our garden, as well as fresh eggs from our small henhouse. You are welcome to collect vegetables and eggs yourself and experience a small taste of everyday life in the Cretan countryside.
A welcome pack awaits you upon arrival, featuring traditional local products, including olive oil, raki and local wine from Yianni's own farm.
For leisurely breakfasts on your terrace overlooking the pool, a breakfast pack is provided upon arrival, including fresh bread, natural juices, eggs, bacon, fruit, cheese, honey and butter. Additional eggs, olive oil, raki and honey can also be provided during your stay upon request.
Bath and pool towels, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and a hairdryer are provided.
The villa is cleaned twice a week, including a change of bed linen and bath and pool towels.

We had a fantastic stay during two weeks! A wonderful secluded villa in a quiet village, with all the appliances you need - and more! The Nespresso machine was very appriciated for the luxury morning coffee at the pool terrace. The nearest restaurant was a short 100 meter walk from the House, and the next taverna another 150 meters away. And the service!!! Manos offers only the best and is always going the extra mile to make your stay as good as it can be. Pristine service all the way!I couldn’t recommend Villa Katerina and Manos enough, and we would love to come back one day.

This is a fabulous place to spend a holiday in North west Crete. The village is lovely with a few restaurant, a little shop and access to lovely beaches nearby, all in the guest book with special recommendation from the host. The villa is well set up with the view of the sea and a lovely walk in the mountains. The heated pool was the highlight for our children. Manos was such a caring host, we arrived to a lovely stocked kitchen and he even sourced a yoga mat for me. Above and beyond, we look forward to another stay

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful villa in Spilia, Kolymbari. The location is perfect—peaceful and private, yet conveniently close to Chania, Falassarna Beach, and Balos Lagoon, making it an ideal base for exploring western Crete.The villa itself is stunning. The Mediterranean garden is lush and well cared for, creating a relaxing atmosphere, and the wooden sunbeds by the pool add a charming, natural touch. One of the highlights was definitely the heated swimming pool with its breathtaking sea view—perfect for both daytime relaxation and sunset moments.A special mention goes to Manolis, the owner, who truly made our stay unforgettable. He welcomed us with delicious local products, which was such a thoughtful and authentic gesture. He was always available, kind, and eager to help with anything we needed, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay.If you're looking for a peaceful, high-quality retreat with incredible views and warm hospitality, this villa is a perfect choice. We would definitely come back!
