Aloha and welcome to KONA TIPSY TURTLE at Hale Kona Kai #403. This is the absolute destination should you want a relaxing vacation getaway on the Kona coast. The location of this condo complex adds convenience as fun activities and amenities are within walking distance. The condo has central A/C, along with complimentary cable and WiFi, and is located on the 4th floor (top floor) with no one above you, but don't worry this complex has an elevator making for easy steps to your paradise. Hale Kona Kai has assigned covered parking, a heated salt-water swimming pool, and laundry machines on each floor.
If you haven’t yet experienced a Kona sunset in person, you’ll enjoy the front-row seat the lanai offers! Upon entry, you are welcomed with ocean breezes and truly remarkable views. The ocean comes alive with the dolphins and yellow tangs that frequent the area. The turtles (Honu) are definitely regular special guests, in addition to the seasonal whales. The picturesque view from both the lanai and bedroom creates a beautiful setting for great memories.
We pride ourselves on cleanliness and make sure that we pay attention to all the details. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Also, beach gear is available for your use. Hale Kona Kai is a non-smoking complex.

Excellent condo directly on the oceanfront. The photos and description are accurate. The hosts were communicative and responsive to any questions. The kitchen was well stocked (no running to the store to get salt and pepper) and the unit was clean. As noted by previous guests, the hosts provide lovely little touches such as a fruit basket and coins for a load of laundry. The complex is very quiet, so I would be hesitant to take young children with me to this location. Highly recommend!

Amazing stay! If this place is open for your dates, book it right away! Very clean and beautifully decorated to give it that island feel. The owner had a personalized note and welcome basket of goodies with local fruit, cookies, coffee, water, chocolate and more. After a very long day of traveling, the gifts were very much appreciated. Location was perfect for the week. Within walking distance to anything you could want. Walked to great coffee shops, restaurants and stores every day. Also a great location for driving to other attractions. 2 hours to the Volcano National Park, 1.5 hours to Hilo area and 2 hours to Mauna Kea. The dedicated covered parking is also a huge plus. But I think the best part was the balcony. We saw sea turtles come up into the tide pools every morning to feed. You really have to look for them because they blend in, but they are there. We also saw a couple pods of dolphins, some eels and LOTS of fish. The wildlife and sunsets are views we will never forget. Thank you again for sharing your home with us!

We had a wonderful stay at the Tipsy Turtle! This was our first time visiting the Big Island and this condo was perfect! It’s in a great location to drive to other areas of the island, and a short walk into town for dinner and shopping. The condo had everything we needed and more. The hosts left us a welcome gift with water, snacks, coffee and fruit. They even left quarters and soap for a load of laundry. All of which we thought was very thoughtful. The view from the lanai was perfect for morning coffee and cocktails in the evening. Being able to see fish from the lanai and hearing the waves while falling asleep was awesome. We visited Volcanoes National Park, went snorkeling, spent time at the beach, kayaked in the ocean and went for a night snorkel with Manta Rays. Coming back to this condo after our adventures left us feeling relaxed and happy. Thank you!

The condo is bright and cheery with a lovely lanai to view the waves, surfers and boats. The kitchen has all the essentials and any appliance you might need. Very clean and well maintained.
