About this apartment rental
Great location on Thomas Drive. Walking distance to new Tootsie's and several popular bars and restaurants. Park right at your front door and no waiting on elevators at this family friendly complex. Sugar Beach condos are beachside so no crossing Thomas drive to enjoy the sugar white sands. This is a ground floor unit with a lush lawn right outside to enjoy games. You can relax here and sit on your patio overlooking the freshwater pond. Feed the Koi fish or stroll along the short path to the beach and enjoy the courtyard. Just 250 steps to the sugar white sands. Sugar Beach is a low rise property that features tennis/ pickleball courts a swimming pool, grilling area, and a wonderful clubhouse with ping pong table and kitchen/meeting area. Beach loungers (1 pair) and umbrella service included with rental in season (March to October) so no need to tote much to beach. Discounted rentals available for additional sets.
Complex has a fresh water pond with turtles and koi fish, bbq area, clubhouse, shuffleboard, pool & lighted tennis/pickle ball court. Just steps from the pool to the beach!

Please contact us prior to booking with pet. For stays three nights or less pet fee is $80 for 1st pet and $40 additional for second pet. For stay of 4 nights or longer pet fee is $150 for 1st pet and $50 for second pet. These fees are paid to the HOA at registration. We ask that the pets be registered 2 weeks prior to stay. Weight limit is 30 pounds. Certain breed restirctions apply so please check before booking. Vet records to be provided upon registration.

Check out time is 10:00 am.
Early check in or late check out available if cleaning time permits for a $35 fee per request due to high demand/requests. Please confirm same with owner ahead of time.

1) Does unit have ocean view?
Unit does not have ocean view but has a lake view. Complex is on the beach but is U shaped with inside units facing the lake?
2) Does unit have steps?
There are 8 steps down from parking lot into unit. Otherwise stepless.
3) Does beach allow pets?
Per Panama City Beach ordinance dogs are not allowed on beach and you risk getting a ticket. There is a city dog park on beach about 15 minutes away. Dogs are allowed in complex on leash if registered.

The unit was so cute and well equipped with everything we needed. We had 2 small dogs with us, and the area outside the unit was perfect for them. There was a nice area to be able to take them for a short walk. Good restaurants around us, and the dog friendly beach was not far away.

Location was nice. Able to park right at the back door. Patio door overlooked the pond. We had a pretty white heron to watch. Host was very communicative. Kitchen was stocked. Plenty of utensils, dining ware, cookware, blender and microwave. Short walk to the beach. Clubhouse was very nice. Kitchen, tables and chairs, ping pong, big screen tv. Grills outside.

We had a wonderful stay! Loved this place soo much! Such a great location, close to the clubhouse, pickle ball courts, and pool - and just a short walk to the beach! We would definitely visit again!!

Decided on a whim to go to Florida for Memorial Day. This property has an excellent location. You could literally walk out the back gate and be in the beach. The amenities were great. The pool was right next to the beach. There was a tennis court, shuffle board and bridge overlooking the koi pond. However, there was a lot of construction which the owner had made me aware of. I don’t know if there was any construction outside, but someone had an irritatingly loud air conditioning unit, right outside of the master bedroom….and was EXTREMELY loud…not the fault of the owner. The two bathrooms smelled kinda bad. Not sure if it was a sewage issue, but if someone used the other bathroom, there was a smell that seeped through the master bath. Smelled pretty horrible. We use a lot of internet, especially my son, but for our entire trip, the WiFi wasn’t accessible. On the property website it says one password and username, while the owner provided another username. We used the one provided by on the website first…didn’t work. Then I notified the owner and she provided another password and username. That one still didn’t work. We all ended up using our phones for hotspots to access WiFi…not good. All in all, I give the property 6.5 out of 10.
