One of the few stays with a covered parking! This warm room awaits in a home on a quiet cul de sac in the Volcano Golfcourse and Country club. Minutes from the entrance of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, KMC, Volcano Village, golf course and Winery. A private entrance leads to a completely renovated 1 bedroom with private bath, full fridge, microwave, TV, internet, coffee and tea service. Enjoy the off hours serenity of HVNP as well as convenient day trips exploring the vast scenic expanse along the Southern coast of the Big Island. You will feel right at home in this quiet, peaceful, comfy country abode.

Joel let us know that morning that an eruption had started. We were able to see it and have a fabulous stay without worrying about rushing back. The condo was great, very clean and as advertised. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others

I stayed at this property to see the volcano eruption. It was perfect! This apartment has everything— the owner even provides flashlights which was a lifesaver when hiking around the crater rim trail in the dark.. I would stay again if I ever get the chance. Thank you!!

Joel delivered as advertised. Wife and I wanted to take quick trip to see the eruption at Kilauea. The property was about 10 min. from Volcanoes National Park and this fit the bill after some long hours volcano watching.

This place was in a great location if you wanted to visit the Volcano National Park. This was literally a 7 mins drive and if you're interested in playing golf, it was 5 mins away. The unit is attached to the Joel's house so, we had to be mindful of keeping things down (not that we're loud people but wanted to be respectful). There was a microwave, a good size mini fridge, some plastic utensils, cutting knife/board, wine opener, disposable plates and cups! Coffeemaker was available and pods. The heated towel rack was a bonus!!! Joel was super kind and got us some milk and cookies from his neighbor the one morning since we forgot to get some! I would recommend you staying here if you had only a couple of days to explore the area!

This is the perfect spot to stay if you want a bit more time to explore Volcanoes National Park and beat the crowds. Joel was great with communication and recommendations and as he said, we won the volcano lottery when the crater started erupting the morning we arrived!

Stayed here on our short trip to the national park. It was a perfect location and a lovely little place that was easy to locate, yet perfectly quiet. Wonderful little spot right in Volcano. The hosts gave us excellent hiking recommendations. The volcano Winery is walking distance. The bed was comfortable and we were plenty worm enough with the heater. 10/10 would stay here again

We spent a few nights here to explore Volcano and Hilo areas after a few days on the Kona coast. The area is at about 4000 ft elevation, so expect cooler temperatures and rain now and then. This property is a very comfortably appointed guest quarters with it's own private entry and covered parking spot within Joel's home. He is such a a welcoming and friendly host, it quickly felt like staying with family! He has thought of all the welcoming touches, from plenty of coffee for the Keurig, cold filtered water in the fridge, wonderful bath products in the shower, extra amenities should you have forgotten anything under the bathroom vanity, and even a photo album with probably every brochure for every attraction in the area. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property and host!

My husband and I stayed at Joel’s for one night. We wanted to do some exploring on the Hilo side of the island. The proximity to the park was a real plus. The room itself was very cozy. It had everything we needed, and it was very tastefully decorated. If we’d had more time I would have liked to have taken a walk around the neighborhood. Joel was very easy to communicate with. I would stay here again.
