We stayed in this adorable cottage for a month and loved it so much we are planning to return next summer. There is so much to see and do in the area and the cottage makes a perfect home base. It is a traditional Welsh cottage perched on the hill overlooking St. Dogmaels and Cardigan and we never got tired of looking at the gorgeous view over the River Teifi. The cottage is well equipped for short or longer stays and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen or grilling on the barbecue for meals on either of the terraces. Everything was clean and in order when we arrived. The beds are high quality, fitted with beautiful linens, and very comfortable. The wifi worked very well throughout the cottage and on the terraces. Being able to do laundry using the cottage’s washing machine was very much appreciated during a longer stay. The water pressure in the upstairs bathroom was adequate and the electric shower worked well but we found that it was best to avoid using water anywhere else in the cottage while taking a shower to avoid a drop in pressure and resulting abrupt drop in water temperature. As others have mentioned, there is a steep and very narrow lane up to the cottage’s parking spot but it gets better with practice and learning where the narrowest bits are. Communication with the owners (the owners’ daughter in our case) was easy and she was very responsive and exceedingly kind and helpful in answering any questions that arose. Highly recommended!

Comfortable base for exploring Cardigan area & Pembrokeshire coast. Tricky access, but this is price you pay for brilliant views of river from 2 terraces ideal for outside dining if weather permits. Fantastic hosts were very helpful with any questions. Surrounding area has lots to do within walking distance.

This property has one of the best views of the Tefli River. The two terraces are a great space to enjoy the vista. The house is ideal for a family of 4 and comes with all the amenities would ever need.

We were pleased to stay in St Dogmaels for a week. The property owner has put plenty of thought into making it a good place to stay, with a good provision of facilities plus some thoughtful extras to make you feel at home. We enjoyed exploring the area, with plenty of choice of things to see and do. The coastal path was slightly disappointing locally - better to take the car and find a stretch further afield. Access by road or foot to the property can be challenging, but is offset by views of the river, and the sight and sound of curlews and other birds.

An immaculate and tasteful cottage that really does have incredible views from every room including the shower. The best is the outside - sitting on one of the 2 terraces - looking out for miles - very beautiful indeed. The cottage is beautifully presented, comfortable and has everything you will need including very good WiFi and smart TV, and even beach mats, buckets and spades, BBQ and umbrellas. We spent most of out week doing different parts of the coastal path or swimming at the beautiful beach at Mwnt. Are there any downsides? - very minimal - Shower is a bit weak and the access road to the property is narrow. we were fine with an SMax and there is private parking. If you had a super big car it would be better to a bit tricky. And it is easier to arrive in the daylight the first time. Excellent host, who are very helpful and communicate well. We would love to come again. this is hard to beat for a cottage in St Dogmaels.

We were lucky enough to meet the owners on our arrival and talk through their recommendations and favourite places to visit. The cottage was immaculate and well appointed with great kitchen for keen cooks. The view is mesmerising and the terrace is perfect for al fresco dining and sun bathing in private. The village and surrounding countryside was delightful-lots of great walks, boat trips and villages to explore. The beaches, coastal path walks and coves were particular favourites. The communication and organisation with the owners was exceptional and we would highly recommend. Perfect break!
