Built by a prominent local lawyer, the home is perched on a hill overlooking the Ohio River, offering stunning views of one of the largest waterways in the United States. With its rich history and picturesque setting, this home is a perfect retreat for families, couples, or small groups.
Inside, you’ll find 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, accommodating up to six guests comfortably. The home features two cozy living areas, a large kitchen with a dining space, and modern conveniences like a full-size washer and dryer. High ceilings and large windows create an airy and inviting atmosphere, while the windows frame stunning views of the river, adding to the home’s charm. A dedicated workspace is also available, making it an excellent choice for remote work or study. (An additional living area is possible with an air mattress available upon request.)
The home’s location is ideal for exploring both local and regional attractions. It’s within walking distance of Brandenburg’s famous Jailhouse Pizza, The Daily Grind Coffee Shop, a local art studio, and a yoga studio. Just steps from the home, you can head down to Main Street, which provides direct access to the Ohio Riverfront and park. The riverfront features scenic walking trails like the Buttermilk Falls trails, picnic areas, and public boat ramps for those looking to enjoy time on the water.
For those venturing further, the home is conveniently located near Fort Knox, Radcliff, Elizabethtown, and Louisville, with the Louisville International Airport just 45 minutes away. Nearby attractions include the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor, and the iconic Kentucky Derby.
Guests can access the home easily via an electronic keypad located on the door closest to the river, opposite the gravel parking lot. Please note there are steps leading from the parking lot to the property, as well as steps to enter the home. The covered door is not used for entry; instead, walk around the house, looking down the hill, and enter through the porch door.
