About this cabin rental

This is a great cabin for 2 to 9 guest. Location is excellent minutes to Patoka Marina , winery and restaurants. 25 minutes to French Lick and casino, as well as other restaurants. We have a Hot Springs hot tub that holds 6 maybe even 7 comfortably on the back screened in deck. There is a queen in master and a sofa sleeper on main level. In the loft there are 5 twins, 2 are trundles that can be lifted to make 2 doubles if you have couples. So the sleeping option are up to you. We have a nice little round drive for extra parking and possible boat... We are nestled in a wooded lot with distance from neighbors for your privacy. We have a firepit on the side of cabin . There is a full bath on main level as well as a washer dryer and a half bath in loft to make it easier for a bigger groups. Kitchen is well stocked coffee maker ,toaster ,blender, dishes pots, pans, cookie sheet etc. Also provide coffee and filters.. Usually have creamer as well..Patoka marina is 5 to 7 minutes away and we have a park pass for guest. This is a gem in a very relaxing spot to get away and sit back and enjoy the nature all around or hit the Lake . French Lick Casino is just a short drive. Snow birds can enjoy Paoli Peaks 35 or so minutes away. Hoosier hills is 15 minutes away for hikers. Patoka winery is 2 minutes away as well as Bennys off the water. Patoka is truely a beautiful place to come relax for the weekend or even longer if you have the time !!!!

About this cabin rental

This is a great cabin for 2 to 9 guest. Location is excellent minutes to Patoka Marina , winery and restaurants. 25 minutes to French Lick and casino, as well as other restaurants. We all enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Our only complaint is the cleanliness of the hot tub. My friend is a water specialist and tested the water for our safety. The water showed alarming levels and there was not chlorine tabs in it. He adjusted the water and added shock (we had to purchase) in order to make it clean. He is adamant about this sort of thing. Everything else was more than wonderful. Thank you! (I do have photos of the water tester if you'd like to see)

Enjoyed our stay at Cardinal Cabin. The pics are exactly the way it looks. Hot tub is excellent. It even has jets for your feet!!! This is a plus, plus, lol. Keurig coffe machine was great. Loved the free park pass as well! The only critic I would give is, please get a new TV remote. The one for the main TV is pretty old and the buttons don't work very well. Other than that, an A all around

Our stay was great. The cabin is well appointed and was pretty clean. There was some random deep cleaning that could be done but I’m just being picky. The only real complaint I would have is the beds. Again, I’m probably just being picky, but after 4 nights my back is a little tense. I would still give this a near perfect rating and will stay here again in the future. Thanks to our gracious host.

We wanted a weekend getaway around Patoka Lake. Cardinal Cabin was the perfect choice, the area is beautiful. There’s a lot to do around the area and French Lick is only a small drive away. The cabin was extremely clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the hot tub and overall, just relaxing in the cabin. Would definitely rent this cabin again!

The cabin was wonderful, nice shade, love the hot tub and loft. Everything was clean and pretty decorations. Had all the kitchen supplies we needed and bathroom nice to have a dryer and washer as well as the screened in porch with hot tub. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the pass into Patoka State Park.. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The only thing I could recommend is that there would be a little more pantry space for all of our snacks and food. Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend getting this cabin for your family.

Great location. Secluded, quiet and just minutes from the main gate to Patoka lake. Screened in porch with hot tub was fantastic. Very clean and relaxing. Only negative we have was the bed in the main bedroom was uncomfortable for us . May have just been us as we are not spring chickens and are used to a firmer bed.

Positives: Perfect location, which was very close to patoka sp, winery, brewery, and coffee. Cabin was adorable, and plenty big for 4 adults and 1 dog. Would be plenty big for 6. The water was nice n hot. Fire pit was perfect and relaxing. The hot tub would fit 6 grown-ups. It was my favorite...on the screened porch, with cool lights, music and great jets. The cabin gas a great front porch for relaxing and grilling. Negatives: No dish rags. We left some. The main bed was one of the mushiest beds I've ever slept IN. I say " in" because we sank and rolled into each other. I'm not a big person. We slept in the living room 2/6 nights. The upstairs was occupied by our friends. My husband's best friend is 6'2", and he was too tall...had to sleep diagonally. The one thing that bothered me most, was that i opened the fridge, and was grossed out. There was at least 15 items in the door. The rules on the fridge specifically state that renters are to leave no food items in the fridge. I needed that space, but also, how do i know someone didn't stick their fingers inside those pickle jars or lick the syrup? I work with kids...they are gross. There were beers, beverages, and a drawer full of crusty dried milk (?). The condiment shelf was sticky, too. My first 15 minutes was cleaning a fridge.

Staying at Cardinal Cabin was a dream. It was cozy, clean and quiet. Google Maps took us to the wrong place, but there's a little wooden sign right by the correct driveway. Would love to go back in the fall!
