Close to public transport, metro, bus and tram, you are 20 minutes from Montparnasse, 25 minutes from the Champs Elysées, 15 minutes from the salons of Porte de Versailles, 20 minutes from France Télévison. An ideal home for working or discovering the cultural riches of Paris alone, as a couple or as a family.

My husband and I spent a week in Dominique’s lovely garden house, which was immaculately clean, spacious, quiet and very comfortable with a well-appointed kitchen. The garden is truly an oasis. The AC was appreciated during a few hot days in Paris. Having a washer was a bonus, and the drying racks provided were handy. Dominique was very responsive to communications, very welcoming and provided lots of information on using public transit, etc. We arrived at Gare du Nord and took a taxi to her home, which I highly recommend unless you are familiar with the Paris transit systems. Cost was about 45 euros. Well worth it! There aren’t many restaurants nearby, but there are a Monoprix and a farmers market (Wed, Sat, Sun) very close by. Access to public transit is good, but note it is a ten or fifteen walk to the nearest bus, metro or tram. Once getting acquainted with the various transit options, getting around Paris and surrounding areas was quite easy. We’re both in our mid-70s and managed just fine. We highly recommend Dominique’s for your stay.

An absolutely perfect spot from which to explore if you wish, stay there and surround yourself with natural beauty if you prefer a low key vacation. Madame Dominique’s mile and manner are among the best. We loved every minute.

In May, we had the pleasure of staying at Dominique’s charming cottage—a perfectly cozy retreat for our party of two. The lush garden became our little sanctuary, ideal for savoring a morning coffee or simply soaking up the warm sunlight. Malakoff itself was a delightful surprise—vibrant, diverse, and navigable, with friendly locals who made us feel welcome. The town had everything we needed, from restaurants and boulangeries to grocery stores and banks. It was refreshing to be just outside the bustling heart of Paris, offering a peaceful escape from the tourist crowds while still remaining connected. The cottage was conveniently located—a five-minute walk to bus stops leading into the city and only twenty minutes from the main train station. Dominique was a fantastic host, offering great restaurant recommendations and even helping us track down a store in Paris for specialty plates. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-situated stay, I highly recommend this lovely home.

The Garden House was perfect for our recent stay in the Paris area. It was a great location and more than met all our needs. Mme. Cordesse was also an incredibly cordial and gracious host. We would definitely consider staying there again whenever in the Paris region. Peter & Deb

My husband, our 18 year old son, and I stayed in the garden studio during our time in Paris. The studio had everything we could need and was impeccably clean. Madam Dominique was a delightful host. Guests should be aware that to access the studio you will need to walk through madam’s home. It was a joy to be greeted by her as we left for the day or came home in the evening. The studio is incredibly safe. It is a little was to public transportation- perhaps 10 mins. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a 2-week stay in this charming rental property in Malakoff, just outside of Paris, very close to the 14th arrondissement. The apartment is actually a separate, independent cottage situated in a garden behind the house of the property owner, Madame Dominique Cordesse, on the rue Vincent Moris. We could not have imagined a more idyllic, peaceful and relaxing setting. Each morning we were greeted by the fragrant aroma of the roses and jasmine that surround the cottage, and by the melodic chirping of songbirds. The cottage itself is very clean, nicely furnished and equipped with all the modern amenities. In order to enter or exit the cottage from the street, it is necessary to pass through the property owner’s home, but we did not consider this to be an inconvenience at all. The owner/hostess is a gracious, kind and fascinating woman whom we came to admire and adore during our brief stay, and we look forward to a return visit someday. À la prochaine, Dominique!
