If you're looking to expand your horizons and see other nearby locales, you can catch a train at either Rome Monte Mario Station, a short 4-minute walk away, or Rome S Filippo Neri Station, 12 minutes away.

After you return, unwind on the deck or patio and enjoy the outdoor furniture. As for the great indoors, you can come inside and enjoy the free WiFi and TV.

We have a daughter who lives in Monte Mario so have visited the area several times and this apartment is the best one we've stayed at so far. It's tastefully decorated and was very comfortable in every way, with a lovely balcony where we could relax and read. A small grocery is literally at the entrance to the building, which was very convenient. My only issue was that the map on the Vrbo site was not correct and as my husband has a bad leg, our initial search was specifically to find a place close to our daughter's home. According to the map on the site, this apartment should have been a short walk away from her but ended up being a 20 minute walk. This meant we had to take Ubers/Taxis, which wasn't part of the plan. Not sure whose fault that was but I loved the flat and would definitely stay there again.
