Situated just a couple of miles south of Alnwick in Hampeth, Dexter Cottage is in a terrace of former miners’ cottages, originally built for the workers at Whittle Colliery.
Renovated in 2019, it boasts a really tranquil space that we ourselves have loved spending time in; a genuine home from home.

Return visit and was excellent again. Very clean & tidy, more than enough towels provided. Addition of toiletries in the bathroom was good this time. Kitchen facilities excellent with plenty of hot water. Parking not a problem and key box simple to use. Very enjoyable week and fantastic we could bring the dog with us to enjoy the beaches

This cottage was absolutely great and we had an amazing time. The location is superb for exploring the area with easy access just off the A1. The owner was very helpful and always responded to messages. We would definitely stay again.

The property was nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. We found everything we needed in the kitchen - it felt like a home-from-home. It was a perfect base for exploring a beautiful area. Wouldn't hesitate to book again when we're next in the area.

Nice modern spacious bungalow. Well equipped and comfortable. Good communication with Iain- especially helpful when we had problems with the internet/ tv. Might be useful to have some instruction manuals for the tv, microwave etc.
Handy location for the A1 and for accessing the beautiful beaches. Would definitely return.
