The location and the clean comfortable room

The host put us at ease from the moment she welcomed us on arrival. It was such a quiet and tranquil place, especially sitting in the conservatory with log burner, looking out at wonderful views of the garden and countryside beyond. Excellent bonus of welcome home made afternoon tea on arrival and recommendation of good local pub for evening meal on second night. Breakfast was superb. A lovely retreat in the heart of the countryside but not far from attractions at Alnwick and Bamburgh.

We were greeted and shown the lovely property. Our room was very comfortable and the bed super large. Very quiet with good views. Breakfast was freshly cooked and the ingredients from local producers
