Don't miss out on this beautiful place

Fiona the lady that owns it couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, nothing was any trouble at all. The accommodation was beautiful inside and out. Stunning views all around and the house the night owl is so comfy and welcoming, you have your own key so you can come and go as you please... that's after you have one of Fiona fab breakfasts where she provides everything you could want for your breakfast. Our bedroom was a lovely big onsuite room with the biggest comfiest bed and we both had 2 fantastic nights sleep. I can't recommend this accommodation enough, if you want a lovely chill in a beautiful place then this def is for you. We definately will be returning.

A peaceful stay in the Northumberland countryside but close to Alnwick.

Spacious rooms with Comfortable beds and modern bathroom. Lovely breakfast room to enjoy a great breakfast and also a separate lounge for guests to use. Also a delicious afternoon tea on arrival was a welcome treat we enjoyed very much.

There was nothing to dislike about the property. It was peaceful with great views.

Lovely stay at Night Owl

We stayed in Snowy Owl for 2 nights, our room was ready on arrival and we were given afternoon tea by Fiona who is so lovely. The room had fabulous countryside views over the garden. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room and and is all freshly cooked, Fiona will do whatever you ask for. Although in a remote spot you are not far from surrounding areas like Amble, Morpeth, Alnwick, Seahouses. We would recommend staying at the Night Owl.

We received a warm welcome and served a lovely afternoon tea on our arrival. It felt like a home away from home and very relaxed, the area is so calm and peaceful, only a 10 minute drive from the centre of Alnwick. Our room was really light and airy with beautiful countryside views, a lovely private bathroom and the beds were big and super comfy. Included was breakfast each morning with so much choice. We would highly recommend staying, Fiona is a wonderful host, thank you for having us :-) Rachel & Neil

Truly amazing in every way.

Breakfast were amazing, all freshly cooked to order, homemade bread and marmalade delicious. The afternoon tea on arrival was so fantastic and appreciated after a long drive, no need to try and find somewhere to eat in the evening. Fiona was a truly amazing hostess, nothing to much trouble, and made you feel very welcome in her beautiful home.

Nothing is too much trouble for Fiona. An idyllic location.

The setting was perfect, in the countryside but within easy reach of places of interest. Fiona was a great host, who made us feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable and the food was fabulous. Fiona makes her own bread, marmalade, muesli etc. so you definitely get well fed!

Fiona is a lovely hostess who went out of her way to make sure that everything was just as we wanted

Fiona laid on a lovely tea and sandwiches and cake when we arrived. The breakfasts were lovely with home-made bread, muesli and marmalade.

Having to leave after four nights! We would love to stay there again.

Fabulous countryside retreat with a friendly and helpful host - perfect!

Complimentary afternoon tea was an amazing start (home made cakes were incredible, especially the ginger one!) and Fiona was kind, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The location is beautiful, the room was peaceful and relaxing and the bathroom was really nice with a great shower! Also, as soon as we booked Fiona contacted us to tell us that we might want to think about booking tables for dinner as the restaurants in the local areas are very popular and get booked up in advance. This is just one example of great hosting and we really appreciated it.

Lovely welcome by Fiona and afternoon tea and homemade cakes were a lovely start to the break. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of fruit and cereals before a cooked breakfast option A pretty and peaceful location to stay with views overlooking fields and garden, not far to travel to places of interest.

Absolutely everything about this place is first class. Spotlessly clean and the most welcoming host Fiona you will ever meet. Afternoon tea on arrival was an amazing treat. Breakfast is locally sourced and excellent choice with nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be returning.

Great stay near Alnwick.

Property was in a quiet location close to Alnwick down a country road but handy for A1 and getting about. Room ( Snowy Owl) was comfortable and had a lovely garden view. Fiona was a top hostess, nothing was too much trouble and her breakfasts were excellent, as was the complimentary afternoon tea on arrival which we thoroughly enjoyed. Plenty of on site parking.

The "Night Owl" is a great place to stay and is run by a lovely hostess.

We were very pleased with our short stay at the "Night Owl". The room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Fiona made us very welcome and on our arrival had afternoon tea ready for us which was a lovely touch. Parking was provided outside the house. The house is set in a lovely garden with great views over open fields.

There was absolutely nothing which I did not like about the "Night Owl".

Fiona was absolutely lovely, she could not do enough and went above and beyond, the property was immaculate and the food was very tasty and freshly cooked, she made some cakes on arrival which were fabulous, Fiona even gave me a birthday card which was extremely thoughtful.

At Peace, with Nature.

We were greeted warmly by our host, Fiona. Her beautiful home was a pleasure. It was very clean and everything we could have needed was there. Although the house is in an isolated location, it was very convenient for trips to Alnwick and other places. Being where it is, Nature is all around. Many various birds of all sizes visit, including a pair of pheasants that wandered into the garden for us to enjoy during breakfast in the conservatory. Fiona's breakfasts were well cooked and kept us going. Thank you, Fiona, for an excellent stay.

Absolutely perfect

Had a lovely relaxing 4 day break here a few weeks ago. Arrived to a lovely afternoon tea which was a lovely touch. Fiona's hospitality was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt like we were staying with family or a close friend. We seemed to be staying in the middle of nowhere yet within 5 minutes we were in the centre of Alnwick. We are already looking forward to returning :o)

Amazing stay in a tranquil rural setting

The Night Owl definitely exceeded our expectations, everything was perfect during our stay and we already want to come back. We were greeted with a delicious Afternoon Tea on arrival, which was an amazing way to start the stay. The "Eagle Owl" room had plenty of space and a very large en-suite bathroom with very good facilities. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the room temperature was perfect during the night as the weather was still chilly during our visit. The food during breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of cooked options as well as a very good continental offering to start. We loved the setting of this accommodation as it is situated in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside, where you can see lots of stars at night and you cannot hear a single noise. Last, but not least, we felt really welcomed by Fiona and Archie, the hosting was superb and Fiona made everything to make us feel at home.

We're recommending this place to everybody

Such an amazing place. Fiona is exceptionally kind, accommodating, warm and gracious as a host, and she is highly skilled in the kitchen, with so many of the ingredients used being locally sourced. The views are so beautiful, particularly over breakfast as the sun is rising, and the entire property has such a cosy, rustic feel to it. We were immediately made to feel right at home and we're already trying to find excuses to stay here again. As a side note, I suffer from chronic pain and can struggle to fall asleep, but the bed was so comfortable that I slept blissfully both nights. Highly highly recommend
