Beautiful Semi-Oceanfront Home in Kill Devil Hills
Mike's Beach House, conveniently located at milepost 5.5 in Kill Devil Hills, is the perfect home for your next Outer Banks vacation. Enjoy ocean views from the higher decks and a quick walk to the public beach access, just 50 feet away. The home is located on a lot with a large yard for the kids to play in. The newly added pool size of 14 by 30 with 3.5 to 6-foot depth, and hot tub are a nice addition to an already beautiful home. The personal touches by the owners get even better inside, with a great ground-floor recreation room complete with a pool table.
On the Ground Level of this spacious home, you'll find plenty of parking as well as a Covered Outdoor Picnic Table that is wonderful for shady afternoon lunches of fresh, local North Carolina seafood. Rinse off in the Enclosed Outdoor Shower after a day of fun at the beach, which is just 50 feet away at the E. Hayman Blvd. Public Beach Access, before making your way out back to the luxurious Private Pool* and warm, bubbly Hot Tub that are perfect for lulling yourself into a state of ultimate Outer Banks beach relaxation. Spend some time working on your tan on the comfortable lounge chairs by the pool before heading inside to the Garage Game Room where you can let off some steam over a game on the Pool Table while enjoying some nice, cold drinks from the Full-Size Refrigerator. When you're ready to get some rest, there's a Queen Bed in the nearby Bonus Room with quaint porthole windows and an easy-access Washer and Dryer for those middle-of-the-week washes and rinsing the sand out of those bathing suits.

This house worked fine for our group. Nice location and the beach access is very convenient. The pool is great (we didn’t try the hot tub); pool heat would be a good addition. We liked the view from the upper deck and used the table on the lower deck multiple times. There is room for improvement with the beds upstairs and in terms of providing basic toiletries (e.g., hand soap, a roll of toilet paper per bathroom) and kitchen items (e.g., dish soap, trash bags) so we didn’t need to prioritize a trip to Target.

Everything was fantastic. Location directly across the street from the public beach entrance made impromptu visits super easy. 2nd and 3rd floor decks facing the water gave a fantastic view of the sun rise to accompany my morning coffee. (thin may not apply to peak travel season) but despite being 2 streets from the main road, it was very quiet, and still walking distance to the pier and a few other restaurants. Pool and hot tub were perfect for relaxation after a day of sight-seeing, and for a family of 4, we had more rooms than we really needed, perfect if you needed some solitude from the family. We would most definitely rent again if headed back to OBX in the future.

Stayed for a week in April and we had some really beautiful beach days. You can’t beat this location, directly across from public beach access, we walked to the pier at night for arcade and drinks. Easy access to stores, shops, and things to do. House was clean- although I think the floors could use a serious mop, but bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and spacious. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub but we checked and it was warm. We had a great time here. It is so relaxing, we will definitely be back!

Stayed here for an entire week. Property is directly across the street from the public beach access. House was exactly as described. Just wish that heat was available for the pool since the water was not yet warm enough to use it.
