The garden is big and prescious, we enjoyed every bit of it! The house has everything you need for a cosy stay, even if its raining. If you want some privacy and long for a place to calw down, this is where you should stay. In case of boredom, there is a lovely piazza in monticiano, where you can find a bar, restaurant and supermarket during off-season. To get there its a ten minutes walk.

Well, have been in that little “House on the Prayer” was the most Wonderful experience I have ever had. Love nature and being around and in the middle of It and the landscape and just for me for 12 nights, I made that home like it was mine. Simonetta was incredible with me, I got little sink and she came to check how I was doing. She was awesome. I felt like I was at my own home. The hose is lovely. Molto grazie Simonetta Io ame la tua casa. Hai una bella casa, ho vissuto il mio sogno e mi sono sentita anche a casa. Grazie di tutto. Ciao

We could not have been happier with our stay here. Simonetta greeted us on arrival and was very sweet. She explained how things work and gave us a quick tour, as well as letting us know she would be available if we needed anything else. We were pleasantly surprised to find an actual queen bed instead of a futon that we thought we would be on. The bathroom had also been recently renovated. The entire cottage was very clean. The view out back is beautiful! We were able to walk into town in less then 10 minutes which was perfect. The location was very convenient for touring throughout the region, close to Siena, Volterra, San Gigminano and only an hour from the coast. Would definitely recommend!

I loved my stay at Simonetta’s little place. A hidden gem. It was very relaxing and perfect for wedding I was attending in Monticiano. I walked and used public transport although Simonetta did recommend hiring a car. Simonetta and her son were very kind to assist me with my arrival and check in to make sure I found the place okay. This place is perfect for nature lovers, with a beautiful outlook. I can highly recommend. Grazie Simonetta!

Great relaxation. Beautiful Tuscan countryside. The litttle town of Monticiano is nearby with a wonderful restaurant called DaVestro. If u are looking to relax, this is the perfect place for 2.

It was a nice experience. We were looking for a quiet small house with a big garden and fences around it. Pluses: The location of the house is great! Super quiet and the neighbors are far so they won’t bother you. Many attractions and beautiful places in Tuscany are within one hour car drive. You can visit a winery or go to a beach, go to Siena or Florence or visit a park with waterfalls, it’s up to you. Big garden with fences around is definitely a huge plus! A little tip: wake up in the early morning and you’ll see deers walking behind the fences, beautiful. Pizza oven in the garden is an amazing experience of making your own Italian pizza. The house is small, but it’s perfect for two people and it have everything you need including conditioning. Hosts are super nice and helpful when you have some emergencies! Minuses: Unfortunately, the house is not as clean as you expect it to be when you’re in a vacation. We knew it is not a 5 star hotel and it didn’t cost us a fortune, but it doesn’t mean you should skip the cleaning part. The shower curtain and a shower shelf in the bathroom were dirty with someone else’s hair and many dead mosquitoes. On the floor we found so many finger nails which didn’t belong to us. In the shower there was a silicon rug on the floor. This is absolutely not hygienic and I cannot imagine how many times the owner actually cleaned and disinfected it. In the kitchen we had to wash the dishes twice to remove the fat and flakes, the fridge was also not clean inside. The couch/bed is definitely not made for sleeping longer that two days on it. It is very squeaky, you cannot turn without making a noice, and it becomes one huge hole in the middle when you lay on it. The main door. You cannot leave the house without the key, not even to take a sunbath or have a dinner outside. The door can’t be open from the outside, there is no handle. The only way to open it once you’ve closed it, is with the key. And in case you’ll forget the key in the door and the other door cannot be open as well, you’ll pay a fee for opening it. In our case we paid quite a fee for a job which honestly we could’ve done by ourselves. A little advice to the host: would be nice if you could place a spare key somewhere in the garden or to make a code key for such cases, so the guests wouldn’t have to bother you and focus on vacation and not thinking about forgetting the key.

This little house is on top of a hill, you are self-sufficient, it’s clean and nice and warm and you are in the middle of beautiful nature. The host is very nice and will contact you in advance. She doesn’t speak English but Google Translate solved that problem. You can find a little supermarket nearby (800m walk) at the beautiful little square in the village. Also some bars / restaurants. The only thing which is good to know - it can be hard with a normal / small car to get up the road to the house. It’s very steep and there are rocks and sand on it. But the host and her son showed us another way which worked fine. Grazie Mille Simonetta! We might be back someday.
