The garden is big and prescious, we enjoyed every bit of it! The house has everything you need for a cosy stay, even if its raining. If you want some privacy and long for a place to calw down, this is where you should stay. In case of boredom, there is a lovely piazza in monticiano, where you can find a bar, restaurant and supermarket during off-season. To get there its a ten minutes walk.

Well, have been in that little “House on the Prayer” was the most Wonderful experience I have ever had. Love nature and being around and in the middle of It and the landscape and just for me for 12 nights, I made that home like it was mine. Simonetta was incredible with me, I got little sink and she came to check how I was doing. She was awesome. I felt like I was at my own home. The hose is lovely. We could not have been happier with our stay here. Simonetta greeted us on arrival and was very sweet. She explained how things work and gave us a quick tour, as well as letting us know she would be available if we needed anything else. We were pleasantly surprised to find an actual queen bed instead of a futon that we thought we would be on. The bathroom had also been recently renovated. The entire cottage was very clean. The view out back is beautiful! We were able to walk into town in less then 10 minutes which was perfect. The location was very convenient for touring throughout the region, close to Siena, Volterra, San Gigminano and only an hour from the coast. Would definitely recommend!

I loved my stay at Simonetta’s little place. A hidden gem. It was very relaxing and perfect for wedding I was attending in Monticiano. I walked and used public transport although Simonetta did recommend hiring a car. Simonetta and her son were very kind to assist me with my arrival and check in to make sure I found the place okay. This place is perfect for nature lovers, with a beautiful outlook. I can highly recommend. Grazie Simonetta!

Wir waren auf Elba und wollten uns noch einige Centro Storico anschauen was bei der Hitze anstrengend war und das Ferienhaus war genau richtig um von dort zu starten und um anschließend auszuspannen in absoluter Idylle. La proprietà è bellissima, circondata completamente dalla natura e dal bosco. Simonetta è gentile è super disponibile per qualsiasi cosa. La casa ha tutti i comfort. Noi abbiamo utilizzato anche il forno a legna e Simonetta ci ha gentilmente fornito anche la legna e tutto l’occorrente. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, die Lage war ruhig so wie wir es wollten. Die Vermieterin war unkompliziert und nett. Das Haus etwas klein, aber für zwei Personen mit Hund braucht es nicht mehr. Für Hunde perfekt... Lucki mein Hund hat sich auch sehr wohl gefühlt :-)

Liebevoll eingerichtetes kleines Steinhaus in ruhiger Lage. Ein wunderschöner Ort um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Da bleibt nur noch der Wunsch nach einem bequemen Bett. Diese Schlafcouch ist ungenügend. Hier gibt es sonst nichts, was nicht einfach schön und sympathisch ist. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder zu Simonetta zurück und bedanken uns für alles.

Wieder einfach ein Traum

Wer Ruhe sucht, Abgeschiedenheit und Einfachheit wird es lieben. Das Bad ist neu und schön, die Küche ist klein und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Alles ist sehr sauber. Der Garten ist ein Traum - unvergleichbar; mit vielen Schattenspender. Mit Gartenzaun 100%ig abgeschlossen ist er ideal für Hunde. Wer Glück hat, sieht Wildschweine und Rehe oder Hasen im angrenzenden Wiesenstück. Die Lage ist eher waldig, keine Aussicht auf die toskanischen Hügel. Ins Dorf mit Bars, Restaurant und Coop ist es 15 Gehminuten. Siena ist ca. 40 Autominuten entfernt. Wir sind Wiederholungstäter - nirgends in der Toskana hat es uns so gut gefallen wie hier.

We stayed at La Roggiola for 10 days with a dog in September.

It was a nice experience. We were looking for a quiet small house with a big garden and fences around it. Pluses: The location of the house is great! Super quiet and the neighbors are far so they won’t bother you. Many attractions and beautiful places in Tuscany are within one hour car drive. You can visit a winery or go to a beach, go to Siena or Florence or visit a park with waterfalls, it’s up to you. Big garden with fences around is definitely a huge plus! A little tip: wake up in the early morning and you’ll see deers walking behind the fences, beautiful. Pizza oven in the garden is an amazing experience of making your own Italian pizza. The house is small, but it’s perfect for two people and it have everything you need including conditioning. Hosts are super nice and helpful when you have some emergencies! Minuses: Unfortunately, the house is not as clean as you expect it to be when you’re in a vacation. We knew it is not a 5 star hotel and it didn’t cost us a fortune, but it doesn’t mean you should skip the cleaning part. The shower curtain and a shower shelf in the bathroom were dirty with someone else’s hair and many dead mosquitoes. On the floor we found so many finger nails which didn’t belong to us. In the shower there was a silicon rug on the floor. This is absolutely not hygienic and I cannot imagine how many times the owner actually cleaned and disinfected it. In the kitchen we had to wash the dishes twice to remove the fat and flakes, the fridge was also not clean inside. The couch/bed is definitely not made for sleeping longer that two days on it. It is very squeaky, you cannot turn without making a noice, and it becomes one huge hole in the middle when you lay on it. The main door. You cannot leave the house without the key, not even to take a sunbath or have a dinner outside. The door can’t be open from the outside, there is no handle. The only way to open it once you’ve closed it, is with the key. And in case you’ll forget the key in the door and the other door cannot be open as well, you’ll pay a fee for opening it. In our case we paid quite a fee for a job which honestly we could’ve done by ourselves. A little advice to the host: would be nice if you could place a spare key somewhere in the garden or to make a code key for such cases, so the guests wouldn’t have to bother you and focus on vacation and not thinking about forgetting the key.

Deze woning oversteeg onze verwachtingen. Wat je ziet op de foto's, krijg je in het echt en zelfs meer! We hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf in het huisje en Monticiano. De ligging is super, dicht bij het centrum van het dorp dus alles is op wandelafstand. Het uitzicht is werkelijk prachtig, Toscane op z'n best!! Een echte aanrader voor mensen die er graag even tussenuit willen en willen geniet van de rust en de omgeving. Echt superlocatie! De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en zelfs als je geen Italiaans spreekt, doen ze hun best om alles in de mogelijke gebaren uit te leggen. Echt 10/10

Ho passato alla Roggiola quattro notti con il mio ragazzo e ne siamo rimasti affascinati. Ha tutto il necessario per soggiornare in tranquillità e lo spazio fuori è curato e fiorito. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di veder passare dei bellissimi cervi proprio lì davanti la mattina presto. Simonetta e sua suocera sono state gentilissime e disponibili per tutto il soggiorno per qualsiasi domanda o curiosità. Spero di tornarci presto.

die Lage des Hauses ist sehr abgeschieden - außerhalb von Monticiano. bis zum Ortskern sind es 900m. Klimaanlage ist vorhanden. Wer Abends fersehschauen möchte hat nur Italienisches Programm (DTV). Sat-Anlage fehlanzeige. Im Ort und auch die Vermieter sprechen nur italienisch, bzw. gebrochen Englisch - war eine kleine Herausforderung. Jedoch Google hilft.

Abbiamo prenotato la casina per 5giorni per poterci muovere tra la val d'orcia,siena e dintorni(distanza circa da tutto 30km). Ottima posizione strategica. La casina è come da foto, forniture della cucina sono essenziali,ma sufficienti se ci si muove durante la giornata e si fa un pasto fuori. Simonetta mette a disposizione lenzuola e asciugamani. La pace che si respira appena si arriva,vale tutto il soggiorno,la sera ammirare le stelle e le lucciole che invadono il giardino è un esperienza impagabile. I nostri cagnolini sono stati ben accetti e hanno goduto dell'intero giardino recintato. Simonetta e il marito sono due persone splendide e molto disponibili. Molto consigliata per chi ama la tranquillità e la riservatezza (è immersa nella vegetazione). Monticiano è un piccolo borgo,ma dove c'è tutto (bar,ristoranti, supermercato,posta).

Siamo stati in famiglia ospiti all'agriturismo la Roggiola. La casetta é piccola ma ben fatta e con un giardino bellissimo, perfetta anche per i bimbi. C'è tutto l'occorrente per cucinare ed é ben mantenuta. Ideale per chi vuole sfruttare al massimo il verde e girare i dintorni senza rinchiudersi in 4 mura. A pochi chilometri assolutamente da vedere l'abbazia di San Galgano e la spada nella roccia. In zona anche ottime passeggiate a cavallo con i cavalli del farma. Insomma consigliatissimo e ci torneremo sicuramente.

Esperienza Bellissima! Tutto come da aspettative e anche di più, la casa è si piccola ma dotata di tutto il necessario come dalle descrizioni, comoda e fresca (noi non abbiamo mai usato il condizionatore!!!), tutta l'area di proprietà è recintata ed enorme!! I nostri due cagnolini si sono sfiniti a correre e giocare liberamente. La zona è perfetta per raggiungere punti di interesse sia in auto che a piedi, proprietari disponibilissimi ed efficienti nel consigliare e fornire indicazioni. SUPER CONSIGLIATO

Un posto magico!

Abbiamo soggiornato 8 giorni in questo posto incantevole, proprio come piace a noi rustico e immerso nella natura. Un panorama mozzafiato di giorno e di notte, pace, tranquillità, bellezza e uno spazio enorme recintato inaspettato dove il nostro cagnolino ha corso libero e felice. Simonetta e Leonardo sono stati gentilissimi, premurosi e molto disponibili su tutto dandoci ottimi consigli. Siamo venuti via col magone perché un posto così è difficile da trovare, speriamo di tornare. CONSIGLIATISSIMO soprattutto a chi ha animali. GRAZIE DI TUTTO
