Typical Tuscan residence in an ancient village on the outskirts of Siena

Apartment with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room, 5 beds, private garden. Our house, located in an ancient medieval village on the outskirts of Siena, not far from many centers of artistic, naturalistic and culinary interest, such as Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, the Chianti hills and the Sienese Crete, spas such as Petriolo and Saturnia, is a construction of 1800, whose renovation, completed in 2013, we took care of personally wanting to maintain the ancient architectural features while using cutting-edge materials and techniques in respect of energy saving and ecological impact. Although we are in the historic center of Monticiano, through the "Vicolo degli Orti", you access a secluded garden where you can spend pleasant moments of true relaxation, enjoying a panoramic view that extends over the endless expanses of woods. In front of its entrance, the apartment has a private space equipped with comfortable furnishings, but it is also possible to occupy the common areas, perhaps to use the barbecue or to harvest organic vegetables or aromatic plants directly from the small vegetable garden. The renovation of the apartment wanted to keep the original structure intact, which was used as a "stable" and therefore retains the ceiling with beams, rafters and bricks and the old-made brick arch. Given the presence of two doors, the living area with kitchenette is very bright and large. A large glass door leads to the sleeping area and the bathroom. The apartment can accommodate 4 people having, in addition to the double bed, two sofa beds in the living room.
