About this cottage rental
House located above the village and beach/sea of Calheta, Madeira Island. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and BBQ. It also has a large terrace and access to common areas; swimming pool, large gardens and private viewpoint. The common areas are shared with two other small units I own in the same location (Stone House and Viewpoint House).
This house has a maximum capacity of 4 people (it can also accommodate small children, as we have a portable crib).
Cliff House benefits from being located on the cliff, right above the beach and the sea of Calheta.
Here you can hear the murmur of the sea, the singing of seabirds and land birds, and delight in unforgettable sunsets. And all in a calm, tranquil, and pollution-free environment.
It lies on the route of the well-known trails and levadas of Madeira, as well as having excellent access to the protected Laurissilva Forest.
The house is simple, as is the place. Yet subtly different. It's certainly a good place to visit and stay.
Note: Not accessible to wheelchair users. Access is on foot via a path, and parking is available in a free public area.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Nelson’s house in Calheta. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The house has such a cozy and inviting atmosphere, it immediately felt like a home away from home.One of the highlights for us was the beautiful garden & ocean view. It’s clearly cared for with love, and it creates such a peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The view from the property is absolutely stunning, and spending time outside, whether in the morning or at sunset, was a real pleasure.The house itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It suited us perfectly and provided a great base to unwind and enjoy the area.As mentioned in the description, it is a cliff house, so you walk down to reach it. Parking is available on the side of the road, and there are steps leading to the house. For us, the steps were completely manageable, but it may not be suitable for someone with mobility difficulties.Overall, we really enjoyed the house, the garden, and the incredible view. It was the perfect place for what we needed, and we would happily stay again.
