Het dakterras biedt een prachtig uitzicht op zee. Zonder auto is het strand lastig te bereiken, maar als je met de auto de kustlijn naar het noorden volgt, kom je langs schitterende uitzichtpunten. De kabelbaan bij Achadas da Cruz is een aanrader als je geen hoogtevrees hebt. Ga bij voorkeur rond 9.30–10.00 uur; later kunnen de wachttijden lang zijn, zowel boven als beneden. Jorge is erg vriendelijk en reageert snel op WhatsApp bij vragen.

Het adres komt twee keer voor in Calheta, wat voor verwarring kan zorgen. Volg daarom de Google Maps-locatie die Jorge doorstuurt. De dichtstbijzijnde parkeerplaats was tijdens ons verblijf steeds bezet. Er is ook een parkeerplek aan de weg, maar vanaf daar moet je een steile weg oplopen. Het is daarom handiger om eerst je spullen uit te laden en daarna je auto te parkeren.

Parking is not direct at location

We stayed in this apartment as a family of three adults and our stay was very comfortable as the apartment had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, with good-quality appliances and there was also air conditioning. The view from the upper terrace is absolutely stunning and the terrace itself is very well equipped, making it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. 🌴🍌🌊🌅 Before our arrival we received clear check-in instructions, and the check-in process was flexible and convenient. Our host Jorge is very friendly and thoughtful, and it was easy to stay in touch with him throughout our stay. This place gave us so many positive memories, and we would absolutely love to come back again! ☀️🤗

This is not a disadvantage, but it’s good to keep in mind that the apartment is located on a hill and the road leading to it has a steep incline. The apartment has two parking spaces, referred to as option A and option B in the instructions. Option A is accessed via a very steep and narrow road and the spaces are usually occupied. Option B is much easier to access, and there is always a space available to park the car.
