'Wow!' is the first word to describe this beautiful Victorian oceanfront home at family-friendly Kure Beach. This modern construction was designed by the architect to take maximum advantage of the spectacular ocean views from virtually every room! This is a distinctive home with crown molding throughout, oak hardwood floors and Berber carpet, breezy ceiling fans, an incredible two-story great room with foyer and staircase, and patio doors leading from the dining/great room as well as three oceanfront bedrooms to the breathtaking views from the seaside deck and balcony above. Nicely furnished and decorated, this is a wonderful vacation home for a family looking for a special place to make memories together.
As you enter the main floor, you are greeted by a majestic foyer and magnificent ocean views everywhere you turn. The main floor has an open floor plan with a two story great room, dining area and full kitchen. The great room has a 60 inch flat panel television with DVD, island themed furnishings, and two stories of gorgeous windows gazing out to sea. The modern granite kitchen is stocked with a set of cookware, bakeware, appliances, dishes and utensils. The adjoining dining area accommodates 8-12 and captures amazing ocean views. There is also a separate oceanfront bedroom with queen size bed, 37' flat screen TV and walk-in closet, plus a full bath and a laundry room with washer and dryer.
On the top floor, there are three additional bedrooms. The oceanfront master suite has a king size bed and flat screen TV/DVD and patio doors to the top balcony facing the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. It also has a large private master bath with double sinks, garden tub, separate glass enclosed shower and water closet, and an enormous walk-in closet. On the other side of the top floor, there is a spacious queen size oceanfront bedroom with TV and patio doors opening onto the top balcony, and a third bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. Also on the top floor is a second living area overlooking the main floor's great room with amazing two-story ocean views. The oceanfront deck below and the top floor balcony both feature fun and bright resin Adirondack style chairs and side tables for you to relax and take in the breathtaking oceanside experience. Our home also features a private walkway to the beach with a separate deck seating area even closer to the surf, plus an outside shower to clean off sand and get dressed, as well as an outdoor grilling and dining area. A large driveway in front of the home allows parking for 3-4 standard size vehicles.
Small family groups are encouraged. Our house is strictly a non-smoking and pet-free, animal-free home, due to serious medical allergies. We are not able to make any exceptions.
High-speed wireless internet access is included so you can stay connected to your life away from home. Routine departure cleaning service is included. We also provide resin chairs you can take on the beach and starter paper supplies and cleaning products, for your convenience. Finally, we try to keep rates down by allowing you to bring your own linens to our home, but if you prefer, linen rental is available at very affordable rates.
Kure Beach is a wonderful beach to spend your family vacation. The beach is clean and noncommercial. Located in an all-residential section of the island, our home is in a family-friendly community, and it's within close walking distance to the famous Kure Beach fishing pier. There are terrific restaurants at the pier to choose from and many other nice restaurants and attractions to see at nearby Fort Fisher (including the NC Aquarium and Fort Fisher Civil War sites) and Carolina Beach, each just a couple of miles away on the island. Emma’s Dream was the perfect home and the ocean front view was spectacular! The house was clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and easy to work with. It was a perfect place for our family vacation!

What a wonderful place to stay! The pictures can’t capture how close you are to the beach and the home is lovely! Kure beach has a nice pier with 3 to 5 restaurants just four blocks away; then just a quick mile and a half north is Carolina Beach if you want a little bigger town.We appreciated the very large TV in the living room that was a smart TV that we could project our shows from our phones on a rainy day or evening. Nice bonus!One of the big highlights of this house are the multilevel decks that have good quality furniture and of course we had coffee and sat on the porch swing daily for coffee and cocktails. We really love to play games and enjoyed the table on the deck to view the beach while we played.The owner is very Customer Service oriented and very on top of all the details. That made it a very wonderful experience as we celebrated our 10th anniversary. The kitchen had everything that you need, but you way out or bring a coffee to go cup so she can walk down the beach in the morning. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed stepping out onto the deck first thing in the morning to see the sun on the ocean.

The location cannot be beat. Being able to step out of the door and walk down to the beach was a real treat. The house is within a reasonable distance to so many great spots - Fort Fisher, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach, the ferry at Fort Fisher (to visit Southport, a must do), Topsail Beach, and Wilmington. There's so much to see and do in the area.The house was well equipped with cooking and dining supplies. The beds were comfy and the views were incredible. The only drawback for us was having to supply our own linens - a bit of an undertaking with 7 people on our trip. It's the first time I've been asked to do so in years of renting through VRBO. I understand the purpose of trying to keep costs down, it's just a bit of a bummer. However, it wouldn't keep me from renting the house again and I'd still give the experience a 10.

Our stay at Emma’s Dream was nothing short of amazing. The accommodations, location, and overall experience were all top notch. We only wished we could stay longer. Our host was excellent in the coordination of our visit and was extremely responsive. The house had all the conveniences of home with a fully stocked kitchen allowing us to prepare meals and maximize our time on the beach. We highly recommend Emma’s Dream. From watching the sunrise over the ocean to listening to the breaking waves at the end of the day, you won’t be sorry!
