Beautiful, simple, comfortable villa "Malvasia". In the hamlet Portobello di Gallura 7 km from the centre of Vignola, 20 km from the centre of Costa Paradiso, residential area (villas), traffic calmed area, 150 m from the sea. Private: property with wildlife garden. Outdoor shower, barbecue. In the house: solarium. Motor access to 30 m from the house. Stepped path to the house. Parking at 30 m on the premises. Supermarket, restaurant, bar, café 350 m, bus stop 7 km, sandy beach 380 m. Tennis 850 m. Nearby attractions: Santa Teresa di Gallura 25 km, Rena Majore 18 km, Palau 40 km. Please note: car recommended. Animals in the neighbourhood. the paths that leads to the solarium is 2 meters high and has no hadn rail.

The pictures made the property look amazing (and it is), and the location couldn't be beaten: right next to the beach and market! However, the reality fell short.
Upon arrival, surprises arose. We were hit with a hefty security deposit (not mentioned on VRBO), a mandatory cleaning fee, and an additional charge per person for towel rental - all to be paid in cash. To access cash, we had to trek to another town because the host wouldn't accept credit cards. We were traveling with 2 other families and their rental properties didn't have any of these extra fees.
We were also asked to show our passports so they could photograph them. I refused because of this little thing called identity theft. I was finally forced to give them the names and numbers but held firm on no photos.
The final blow? We were limited to using only 5 of the advertised beds. My older children, who are well over 6 feet tall, were forbidden from sleeping in a king-size bed and were forced to sleep in children's beds because, according to the host, "you only need 5 beds."
