About this apartment rental

This apartment is modern with all the modcons for comfortable living. It is spacious, airy, light and convenient for a relaxing vacation. The veranda (terasse) is the ideal spot for reading, relaxing and drinks.

The basement parking and elevator makes it unique in the village as parking is very scarce in the villages of Provence.

The apartment overlooks the famous Lourmarin Friday market and is 2 minutes walk from the centre of the village with all its restaurants, shops, boutiques and art galleries.

The 'terrasse' (balcony) is ideal for drinks or just relaxing and enjoying the views.

Lourmarin is within minutes of Cucuron, Bonnieux and Vaugines where 'The Good Year' with Russell Crowe was filmed.

There are two comfortable bedrooms each with 2 single beds and built-in cupboards; one bathroom with shower, vanity basin and wc; one seperate wc and basin; one shower with basin; washing machine; open plan kitchen fully equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, sink, fridge, freezer and fully stocked with pots/pans, cutlery, crockery and glasses; open plan dining room and lounge with satelite TV, DVD player and Internet Connection (Free); and spacious open balcony seating four people.

There is a hair dryer.

Lourmarin is the trendiest and most popular of all the villages of Provence with its array of restaurants and bars, trendy shops, bakeries, wine shops and art galleries. It is the most beautifull of the villages and is visited by all travellers to Provence and is within comfortable travelling distance of Avignon, St Remy, Chateauneuf de Pape, L'Isle-s-la-Sorgue and Aix-en-Provence. Marseilles and the quaint seaside village of Cassis on the Med is one hour away and the French Riviera with Cannes, St Tropez and Nice two hours comfortable driving as is Monte Carlo - all can be done in day trips.

We decided 7 months ago that we wanted to have a week in Lourmarin so we had a base to tour the Luberon. I found this apartment at the same time and it lived up to everything we hoped for. It is right in the middle of the village, overlooking the square with three cafes underneath and a little supermarket as well. We ate out every night but the kitchen has everything you need if you decide to cook in. The elevator and underground car park are a huge bonus. Fantastic apartment and village, can recommend both.

Greta was very welcoming, showed us around a large spacious nicely furnished space. Underground parking space with elevator to apartment floor. Town/Chateau minutes away. Apartment large furnished balcony overlooks a pedestrian space with cafe, tourism office, ice cream. Small grocery store couple buildings down. AC used at night. Greta met us at check out. Very pleased.

The location was perfect. Lourmarin is a perfect base for day trips And it is very charming lots of restaurants to choose from. It has it's own market on friday which was great. We had a car so the garage was vital. Would highly reccomend and go back

The property met our expectations with good facilities and a most convenient location. The underground parking was particularly helpful in view of the very high (not usual for the time of year) temperatures during our stay. We will certainly consider returning

We stayed in this well appointed and spacious apartment for a week in October. It was modern and nicely situated above the old town commons/main plaza. In this apartment you are in the heart of the village of Lourmarin, in walking distance to all the wonderful cafes, restaurants, galleries, green spaces, and historical sites of the most precious and well appointed hill town in Provence, and set within driving distance to fabulous day trips like Avignon, Aix en Provence, Marseilles, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Isle sur la Sorgue, Apt, Menerbes etc. and all the wonderful weekly markets of the Luberon. Our favorites were Tuesday in Cucuron and Friday in Lourmarin. (the market is right below the apt on the square) So much space and comfort with convenient assigned secure parking down below and easy elevator access to the quiet and lovely apartment. Extra large bedrooms, comfortable beds with nice linens, a fully equipped kitchen with more gadgets and spices than you could cook with, two nice showers, indoor laundry and large patio for enjoy morning and evening coffee or tea with a cool breeze and good light. Groceries and fármacie right on site! The greeting hostess, Greta is very nice and a wealth of information and suggestions for tailoring your experience in the French countryside. Finally, the unit has a wonderful mini library of fiction and reference books, mags, maps and regional tour guides. Don’t hesitate to book this apartment. Very grateful for our time in France in this fantastic rental. We hope to return again and again.

Our 10 day stay in the village was made more enjoyable by our choice of accommodation. The first floor apartment was located in a block of apartments overlooking the village square. It is a lively square from Friday (market day) through to Sunday afternoon - where local craft and artists have stalls all weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the village atmosphere and dining in local restaurants and cafes. By the end of our stay the local cafe staff knew our regular coffee and drink orders. Lourmarin is a perfect central base for discovering the surrounding villages and even the French coast for a day trip and a swim. Our host Greta was very friendly and informative on our arrival making us feel right at home in the town. Thank you to our hosts for a comfortable stay. Sheryll and Paul Eades

We spent three wonderful summer weeks in this stylish apartment. It is perfectly located overlooking the market square - close to day-to-day village life, but away from the touristy cafe precinct. And, the underground car park and lift are a rare bonus. The apartment is even lovelier than the photos depict, roomy and very comfortable. Plentiful storage space allowed us to unpack and settle in for our stay with our bags out of out of sight - and out of mind. We love preparing meals from local produce and the well-equipped kitchen made that very easy. We had a glass of rosé and dinner on the balcony most evenings. The local market is as vibrant and colourful as everyone has said. But our absolute favourite was the small Producers’ Market and cooking demonstrations held on Tuesday evenings from May – October at the former fruit co-operative just across the road from the rear of the apartment building. In the few minutes it took for one of us to return to the apartment with our produce, the other would buy a couple of very reasonably-priced glasses of wine and grab a table. Then we'd relax in the late-afternoon sunshine, with our wine and a pre-dinner snack conjured up from our market purchases while watching a local chef make simple 'Street Food' for tasting. Bliss! Lourmarin proved an ideal base for exploring; we made good use of the Provence Byways guide provided in the apartment, and even purchased a downloadable copy of our own. We were welcomed warmly at our favourite café just below – La Reserve - where our coffees were often delivered without us even having to order. We would love to return to Lourmarin and the apartment in the future.
