Show up with the kids and skip half the packing list. This South Haven home is stocked with a full nursery, high chairs, baby gates, and blackout blinds in every room. Plus a year-round heated pool two blocks away and a walking path to Lake Michigan. Sleeps up to 12 in a quiet, wooded corner of Harbor Club.
The Space
Our 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home sleeps up to 12 with room to spread out, tucked into a private, wooded pocket of Harbor Club. Close to the marina, lake, and pool, but with fewer neighbors. The open kitchen and living room are built for togetherness: cook while the kids play, then relax on the big couch and stream on the smart TV. Outside, a large patio overlooks the trees, perfect for morning coffee, evening cocktails, or s'mores around the fire pit.

This was our second stay and the house was just as perfect and charming. The outdoor pool and hot tub are wonderful in winter -- the large pool is essentially "globed" with a heated enclosure. The bedrooms are sizeable and there is room for everyone! We will stay again next winter.

We had the pleasure of staying at Sunshine Cottage with our family, and it made for the perfect fall weekend getaway! It was our first time visiting South Haven—a true gem. The house is beautifully appointed for families with young children and includes everything you might need for a trip to the beach. The location is fantastic—close to both the beach and downtown—and having access to the community pool was an extra treat. We can’t wait to visit South Haven and stay here again soon!

We stayed a weekend at the Sunshine cottage & had a delightful time. It was clean & the amenities were great for our family & friends. All the small touches like stools for the kids to wash hands & nightlights in the bedrooms & bathrooms made it feel like home. Beds were comfortable & there was plenty of space to hang out together or to relax alone during downtime.
We enjoyed taking the chairs & sand toys to the beach for sunset. Well done Sunshine Cottage, we’ll be back!
