Within a mile of the lovely sandy beach at Harlyn Bay and a short way inland from Trevose Head and the golf club, this semi-detached, double-glazed barn conversion is set in the gardens of the owner’s home to one side of the coast road from Newquay to Padstow.
The village of St Merryn, which is known as "Seven Bays for seven days" is just under half a mile away and has a selection of small shops. The nearest pub, The Cornish Arms, is a five-minute walk along the main road, and there is a seasonal restaurant just a few yards away. The seven bays are made up of seven unique Cornish landmarks and beaches which stretch seven miles along the North Coast from Porthcothan near Newquay to Trevone Bay near Padstow.
The harbour town of Padstow, a charming fishing port at the heart of the Camel Estuary, is a perfect place to watch the world go by. Food and local produce are in abundance, with Rick Stein & Paul Ainsworth both having restaurants in addition to many small cafes, pubs and eateries. There are shops, galleries and a museum to keep you entertained. Hire a bike and cycle the Camel Trail, taking in some beautiful Cornish countryside, explore the beautiful South West Coast path or take the ferry across to Rock, where you will find some great walks along the coast to the spectacular beaches of Daymer Bay and Polzeath and try your hand at some water sports.
