The cottage is just an hour's drive from Paris and Disneyland. It's also the perfect, peaceful location for exploring the Champagne Route (small villages, fine restaurants, wineries), numerous châteaux (Fontainebleau, Vaux-le-Vicomte, La Motte-Tilly), the Rose Garden in Provins, and Vézelay. Take the train to Paris from Provins if you want to avoid driving... Paris is an hour away by train.

We love spending time with our guests coming from Argentina to Scandinavia, from Germany to California, from Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and of course Paris and Paris area.

Come enjoy the peace and quiet, the 9-hectare wooded park, the pond with geese, ducks, and carps for fishermen... and, of course our chickens' eggs.

We hope to see you soon.

We had a very good time. The house is cute and has all facilities. The hosts were nice and attentive. The rose garden and lake behind the house are peaceful and great for a stroll. Medieval Provins is near and it is well worth a visit (it is not as well known in the Netherlands as it should be). Fontainebleau is not too far either. We really recommend this place!

Everything about our stay was perfect, the cottage had everything you could ask for. The hosts were extremely nice and also helpful, though as the cottage was fabulously equipped we had no call to bother them after the meet and greet except to pass on the keys as we left. A lovely garden (equipped with a table and chairs) that leads onto a wonderful lake. Our dog also accompanied us on the 5 night holiday and loved the walk around the lake. A perfect place to unwind. If driving back from Paris I recommend a break at LA TOURELLE 77. 1 Rue de Melun, 77220 Tournan-en-Brie where we had a great meal and a couple of carafes of the house red.

We stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely house. We had a great stay. The house is very cozy and fully equipped. There's a very big and green back garden were you can enjoy the sun or make a nice dinner on the bbq. There's a path from the garden to the private lake were we fished almost every day. I think we caught around 10 carps. It's very peaceful, especially at night. The town is very small and you don't have any shops. So you have to drive like 15 minutes for shops, restaurants and super markets, but that's what we loved about this place. Also we had some fun playing petanque in the garden. The hosts are super friendly and made us feel very welcome. It was very nice meeting you A&M! Thank you for the eggs and all the fresh vegetables and from your garden. We had a lovely stay and maybe we meet again.

We spent a few days of our honeymoon at the wonderful chalet of Alain and Michele. The house is charming and offers much more space than needed for two. We especially loved the fireplace and the nice lake behind the garden. The chalet is ideally located for trips to beautiful Provins, the Champagne region and more.

Very nice little house. We had one week and we enjoyed our stay. The beautiful house and garden, the silence, the trips to Paris and Fountainbleu, etc. It was also good for our 5 years old son.

Just returned from a glorious week's stay at the cottage. My wife and I , together with our 12 year old daughter could not recommend the place highly enough. It has been renovated to an excellent standard with plenty of outdoor space. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The area is very remote and the use of a car is a must, the local town of Provins (20 mins away) is stunning with all the amenities you'll need. We went to Disney Paris for a couple of days which is a very easy 45 minute drive. This is a definite get away from it all location, exactly what we wanted. The site stated a DVD player and cable TV, neither of which were available and the Wi-Fi is a little slow. None of this was a problem and we just relaxed and read a little more.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week in this delightful cottage in the Brie area. Michele and Alain are a lovely couple and were most welcoming. The property itself is a converted farm building dating way back. Alain has completely rebuilt the interior using many of the original oak timbers. Quality materials have been used throughout, resulting in a home which is both bright and cosy. The property is set in a small hamlet of ten houses. To the rear of the cottage is an extensive garden planted with roses and lavender. Beyond is a small lake bordered by poplars which is pure idyllic rural France. It's worth taking a gentle stroll round it. The cottage is just 20 minutes or so drive from Provins. This is a beautiful town whose old quarter is stunning and whose buildings date back to medieval times. There are some excellent highlights which are a must do. For us, the most interesting was the Tithe Barn. It was packed with information which gave a real insight into life in medieval times. A close second was a guided tour of the underground passages beneath some of the main buildings. Also worth a visit is Caesar's tower, perched atop the highest point of the old town. You are only a short distance from the Champage area and a drive along the Champagne Trail is well worth doing. The small towns and villages in the surrounding countryside each have their own character and we also enjoyed a very pleasant drive along the Seine. Finally, if you're into photography, I suggest you take a very large memory card!
