Sunset 96, Mariners Cay is ideally situated in a quieter unobstructed view in the Mariner's Cay compound giving guests a panoramic view of the Folly River and Folly Beach Park all the way to Kiawah Island. Nothing can compare to the colorful sunsets from the screened porch. Mariner's Cay is a gated community which offers guests not only a swimming pool and tennis/pickleball courts but also is only minutes away from the beaches and walking distance to the funky town of Folly Beach. The privacy and lack of traffic is perfect for walking and enjoying the true nature of Folly Beach.
The first "Wow" moment happens when you first open the door and see the amazing openness and panaramic views. Other rentals have only the river or marsh views. This unit stands apart from the others as one of the few located in the Sunset Building 5 with premier views and an elevator. This is why our pictures reflect the gorgeous sunsets and sky colors that follow! The next "Wow" moment comes at sunset when one must hurry to the screened porch to be awed.
As can be seen by the photos, the unit has a large, main bedroom with a king size bed opening onto the porch; and two additional bedrooms with queen beds. The open living area has a large flat screen smart HDTV, Bose system, and DVD player. Apps available for guests to use personal logins.
The property truly has a million dollar view yet is affordable to all. It's all about location. Owners have totally redecorated and updated. Entire building has had reconstructed porches and new siding. All updated in 2023!
We guarantee our cleaning service continues to follow all sanitation guidelines. We feel our new standards go above and beyond the recommended procedures in an effort to make our guests feel welcomed and safe. This home has a 5 star rating partially due to the outstanding cleanliness with all the many amenities. New linens and towels are changed regularly along with the interior freshly painted. This is a perfect place for Citadel and College of Charleston parents to stay for visits and graduations. The music is always wonderful in Folly Beach or check out The Pour House and Charleston Music Hall. You may also enjoy the nearby shopping in Charleston and outlets. We loved everything about the condo. So comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Kitchen well equipped. The porch was amazing and sunsets incredible. We would love to stay there again.

Beautiful view. Sunsets were gorgeous. Beds are very comfortable and decor is beautiful. Everything has been updated, and the pictures don’t do it justice. I could have spent the entire trip sitting on the screen porch. You get the best of both worlds. Super close to the beach and Folly Island’s cute little downtown, and an easy half hour drive into Charleston. Condo was fully stocked with anything you could need including binoculars to watch the wildlife. We will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to the Charleston area.

Everything was great! The host was very responsive and gave us all of the communication we needed for the stay. They pool was great! The kitchen had all the essentials and the screened in balcony was absolutely amazing!

Be on your best behavior!!! The property manager next door has watchful eyes. On the last day of our trip, it rained which canceled our last beach afternoon. Instead, we relaxed and kids made their own fun playing with shells and finding crabs in the sand in front of the building. They ran up and down the stairs, excited to show us their prizes as we packed up leaving little sandy footprints. The property manager who lives next door contacted the owner, who then accused us of leaving a mess and staining towels. We reassured everyone and even sent pictures showing how clean everything was. The next day, as we were leaving we bumped into a candle and broke the glass surround. We apologized and sent a picture, happy to pay for a replacement. The following day, after the cleaning lady went through every one of the 100 decorations in property, we were sent 3 more pictures accusing us of breaking other things. It was a bad way to end an otherwise enjoyable family vacation.
