Light, bright and open - these three words describe 14 Green Heron, a beautiful 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home located 4th row from the ocean in Sea Pines Plantation. The beach path is located behind the home through a grass yard providing easy access to the beach. The Great Room features cathedral ceilings, 50" TV with DVD player and a wall of glass windows, which brings the outside in! The kitchen features a large breakfast bar with seating for six. The dining room is adjacent that offers a large rectangular table with seating for 10. There are 2 sliding doors from the dining room that open out to the deck which gives you the option for alfresco dining.
This home provides great bedroom separation and is ideal for extended families. There are 3 bedrooms located on the main floor and a fourth bedroom located upstairs. The master bedroom features a king bed with a 42" TV & DVD player; it offers a luxurious bath in a serene lilac color, providing the utmost relaxation while you unwind in the newly added jetted tub. There is also a tiled walk-in shower. In addition, there is a separate vanity area with double sinks. The queen size bedroom offers a 32" TV and has a private bathroom with a handicap accessible combo shower tub. The 2nd king bedroom right next door has a 27" TV and DVD player; it has a private bathroom with a combo shower/tub. Upstairs is a large room that is great for kids as it has 2 single twin beds and a twin daybed with trundle. It offers a 30" TV & DVD player. This room has a private bath with a combo/shower tub.
The Carolina room on the main floor provides additional space for daytime activities and sleeping arrangements at night and has a 30" TV with DVD. You can access this room through the master bedroom or off the kitchen. Guests can relax and enjoy the outdoors on the sunny deck with a table, 6 chairs and a gas grill or down by the newly renovated pool and patio area.

The house overall was fine. We loved that the bedrooms all have their own bathrooms. It's a very open concept, like most houses in Sea Pines. The pool was great to cool off after a beach day or just to lounge in. The kitchen has everything you'd need while you're there if you do a bunch of cooking. Freezer has plenty of room for extra ice bags, which was great. Super short walk to the beach, which was nice and private. Also close to the beach club if you wanted to stop by for a good lunch. Not too far from the Salty Dog or Harbor Town, you could take a long bike ride to either. And close to Coligny if you wanted to go shopping. The island was PACKED the week we went. Every time we go it gets more and more popular and crowded. As for the downsides- The furniture is dated and in some cases falling apart. The coffee table is literally held together with tape and the outside furniture looks like the seats will fall through at any moment. The bathrooms need a good remodel, if anything new shower heads! The stovetop eyes would sometimes work and sometimes not. They did replace the dishwasher while we were there, but we had plenty of advance notice and the property managers communicated very well. Overall a good experience.

The location of this house can’t be beat! On a quiet street just a few minutes walk to the beach. The house was very clean and property managers were extremely responsive to questions and requests. The pool area was nice and clean. As others have mentioned the furniture could use a major update, both indoor and outdoors, and would feel so much nicer if the carpets were replaced with hardwood. The biggest complaint we had was with the AC. The master bedroom gets practically no air at all. You can feel it only tricking out of the vents, while the sunroom next to it, and some other bedrooms, get blasted with cold air. We had to open the door to the sunroom and use fans to divert cold air into the master. It was tricky to get everyone comfortable at nighttime because of this. We were able to use 2 walk-in closets for kids to sleep in their pack n plays. If it weren’t for the AC issues we would stay here again. We will definitely use this property management company again because they were excellent!
