About this farm stay rental

Divided into four separate apartments (two bedroom apartments and two bedroom apartments) can accommodate up to 20 people but also smaller families. Available to all guests a large lounge with a fireplace, sofas and a table tennis table. The lounge is equipped with free wi-fi system. Outside a large garden with tables and umbrellas and lounge chairs for sunbathing around our infinity pool. Also in the garden a barbecue and a wood stove.

What a vacation! A beautiful house in a beautiful setting and a very nice landlady. Very good social areas both inside and outside. A nice clean and good size pool. All apartements were good except the one at the bortom floor which was very damp. The internet connection was a bit unreliable but it was good for the children to be without for a while. We would gladley come again. Annika with family.

We had a great week. Lovely house and pool. Friendly owners. Quite remote and distant drom prime locations (Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa and Florence most an hour or more away,) however there are amenities closeby. Nice private appartments.

Overall we enjoyed our 10-day stay at Lorenza’s place. There are many pros to the house (especially value for money) but there are also a few cons that it would be good to be aware of. The house is in a very scenic spot and near the charming town of CastelNuovo. It should be noted that the location is rural and some distance from the main sites (around 1hr – 1hr 30 mins to historic towns: Siena, San Gimignano and the coast) along windy roads. The house is very spacious and served our party of 10 well. What may not be apparent from the Vrbo photos is that the apartments are on the top side of the building and have their own kitchens, while the shared sitting room and kitchen is on the lower level. You have to walk around the outside of the house to get from one level to the next. The shared kitchen is small for the size of the property and not well equipped. The same goes for the sitting room which has some rather tired and tables and chairs. The fridge was broken for the first half of our stay. After sending a reminder, Lorenza switched it over for one from one of the apartments. The pool was excellent and clean. There is a clothes washing machine in a nearby building. You pay 4 euros per wash. Lorenza and her son Jacopo were very friendly and communicative. Lorenza very kindly organized a cake and balloons for my nieces whose birthday it was the day we arrived. This was a really lovely touch. On the downside, we did find it rather odd that Lorenza would often arrive at the house and walk in unannounced. Although we were very grateful for her regular gifting of apricots we thought it would have been nice to check with us first if we were ok for her to come over. Our check out was also not ideal. We’d confirmed with Jacopo that we’d check out at the Vrbo stated time of 10 am. However, the gardener started cutting the grass outside the bedrooms at 7:30am. He was followed by Lorenza and the cleaning team at 8:30am. We asked if they could hold off cleaning until the agreed check out time. They then hung around the house until we left which was quite awkward and unfortunate. Note that there’s no welcome guide or info on the Vrbo app so it’s important to ask lots of questions at check in which may be challenging if you don’t speak Italian, as Lorenza doesn’t speak English. Overall, good value if you don’t mind basic accommodation, a few interruptions of privacy and longish drives for sightseeing.

Lorenza's villa is perfect for friends, family, or larger groups. The way it's set out - 4 apartments plus a large communal living room/dining room/games room/kitchen - means guests can have some 'downtime' as well as enjoying their holiday together. Lorenza is lovely and could not be more helpful and accomodating! She was there to greet us on arrival and gave us helpful tips about enjoying the local environment. The infinity pool gives glorious views over the hills and through the dappled light of the oak trees. We used a local mini-bus driver for fabulous day-trips to Siena and Volterra, and for an evening visit and dinner in the beautiful town of Massa Marittima. We had a magical week. Thank you, Lorenza!

Lorenza and her son Jacopo were wonderful hosts. The communication was uncomplicated and all our extra wishes (early check-in, late check-out) were easily accomodated. They did not spare us any answers and tips for local restaurants, beaches and facilities of the house. They also provided us with wood and explanation to use the pizza oven - highly recommended. Thank you very much!

I was recently married in Radicondoli and had booked this place for my bridal party to stay. I didn't have very man y complaints for my friends except "a little stuffy". We knew there was going to be an extra fee for heating (we went in November), and were willing to pay. I thought the fee was included in the original VRBO price, but the owner insisted we pay cash to him when we get there for "fire wood". Long story short, I don't think its right for extra hidden fees, which could have been prepaid before we even arrived. They were upset we did not give them the money upon arrival, even though they had it on the 2nd of 4 days staying there. He knew I was there for my wedding, and insisted on my wedding day, I mend this use, which I felt could have been avoided all together if he didn't feel the need to collect the heating fee in cash (which seems like it is against VRBO rules).

We (four families with eight childern and a dog) had a great time in Lorenza's house in Tuscany. The location is in a very scenic area with lots of forests and little villages around. The property offers a lot of privacy and the pool is immaculately taken care of. And: Lorenza is the most friendly, welcoming and helpful host ever. Thank you very much for everything, Lorenza!
