About this villa rental
Maison de Pieusse is a 3 bedroom villa enjoying a stunning location about 2 km from the market town of Limoux. There are countryside views on all sides of the property but the setting although tranquil is close to amenities such as a large supermarket and bakeries less than 2 km away. Other facilities are found in Limoux and slightly further afield in Carcassonne where a visit to the medieval city is recommended. Further exploring opportunities abound including trips to Toulouse, the beach or up into the mountains whichever might take your fancy.
The property itself is well equipped as a home from home. There are 3 bedrooms of which two contain double beds and the other twin beds . From the balcony off the Master Bedroom fabulous sunsets can be viewed while enjoying a glass of the local blanquette. Further outdoor relaxation is possible on the upper and lower terraces where alfresco dining under a moonlit sky adds to the enjoyment of a visit here. A covered verandah offers further seating in relaxed surroundings.
Should the weather not be kind indoor relaxation is also on offer. The lounge has comfy seating in front of the TV or listening to music on the music tower. There is a conservatory and for breakfast or aperitifs the breakfast bar is most inviting. Formal dining is available with seating up to 8 and there is alternative dining facilities in the summer kitchen. In short plenty of opportunities to eat and drink and entertain guests.
The main kitchen and summer kitchen are modern and the bathrooms although traditional french in character have been refurbished to add to the modern amenities. An abundance of wood gives a traditional feel to the house.
The swimming pool is 9 metres by 4 metres with a uniform depth of 1.5 metres. It is essential to be able to swim to use this pool

Lovely villa, I've never rented a property that was so well equipped. Beautiful pool and gardens. Lots of places to sit with a glass of wine. A shame the restaurant in the village is closed but beautiful surrounding countryside.

This was our second time staying at this villa and I gave a review previously in August 2019.
We had been waiting 3 years to get back, but our stay was worth the wait! This is a great villa in a lovely location-quiet enough to have a truly relaxing and peaceful holiday, but very close to the nearest town with a selection of shops and restaurants in Limoux, and also very close to great supermarkets stocking everything you could need.
Unlike our previous stay, the local restaurant/pizzeria- only a 5 minute walk away- was open this time, and both the food and the staff there were lovely.
We have been doing villa holidays for over a decade and this is without doubt one of the best-equipped villas we have stayed in. There is fantastic space and storage and Alison provided a lovely selection of board games and books, as well as table tennis and bicycles. Anything you might need for a great holiday, you will find here!
The medieval city of Carcassonne is only a 25 minute drive away, as are water activities, zip-line adventure activities and plenty more to keep the kids happy.
The only small drawback this time was the later check-in time of 6pm, which meant a bit of a rush to the supermarket on Saturday evening before it closed, but it may be possible to arrive earlier and wait outside.
All in all we had a great holiday, which really recharged our batteries and we fully expect to return in the future.

We were there during a heatwave, so spent more time indoors than we might normally have. Air-conditioning and three sofas meant we were all suitably comfortable! Pool was lovely also.

We have just returned from a fantastic stay in this property. Maison de Pieusse is extremely spacious and well-equipped, with literally everything you could want for a comfortable stay. It is especially well equipped with bathroom facilities which is not always the case with villas in France.
Pieusse itself is a very pretty and tranquil village and the villa was quiet and private, while still being just a short drive from the nearest supermarket and the town of Limoux itself. The local cafe/restaurant was unfortunately closed for August, during our stay, but there is a lovely selection of places to eat out in Limoux itself.
The pool is impressive and there were various places outside to dine or to just relax. We particularly loved the sun-trap balcony outside the master bedroom!
The board games and table tennis were also a hit with with our 2 children when they wanted a break from the sun.
Its location also means you are just a 20 minute drive from Carcassonne and many local sights and landmarks.
All in all, we found we that completely relaxed here and we would not hesitate to recommend this villa and very much hope to return in the future.
