The villa is located in a pine forest with a preserved outdoor dining area, just a 5-minute walk from all shops and services, in a quiet and very well exposed residential area in the heart of the dynamic village of Espéraza, in the upper valley of the Aude department.
Espéraza is renowned for its rich industrial past from the early 20th century (former hat capital, traced in the picturesque hat museum) and its paleontological museum housing spectacular fossils and dinosaur reconstructions This internationally renowned museum attracts up to 60,000 visitors per year.
The Sunday market is ranked 2nd market in the Languedoc-Roussillon region by a vote of TF1. In addition, its summer gourmet and musical markets on Monday evenings welcome up to 400 guests at tables.
From the 2024 summer season, you can also discover the village on a circuit during which you will discover, in 22 stages, Espéraza through old postcards.
Espéraza is an excellent "base camp" for hiking or cycling, white water sports, trout and salmon fishing in varied and preserved environments, not to mention its central place for visiting the Cathar castles. For all, a swimming lake, with filtered water and supervised with water games is located 9 km away in a park crossed by a river.
The icing on the cake, the upper valley of the Aude is a wine-growing territory producing exceptional wines that regularly win awards (still and sparkling wines), thanks to the exposure of its vines to the mid-altitude climate very favourable to the development of the aromatic expression of the specially selected grape varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot...).
