I wish I had been informed earlier about the sargassum seaweed problem in Tulum. The beach was accessible from the house, however, the seaweed precluded us from enjoying the beach!

It is a really secluded getaway with a beach that was all our own, we rarely glimpsed any other humans in the neighborhood save for Maria and Miguel, the staff for the house who are always anxious to help but keep a low profile to allow the privacy their guests covet. Overall a wonderful place to go...

Casa Nalum was an incredible find. The open airy construction of the property makes it comfortable even in the hottest of weather. We barely needed the AC, although it was lovely to retreat to our cool bedrooms after a day on the beach. We happened to arrive to Sian Ka’an the same time as a large patch of Sargassum seaweed, but luckily we could jump between the sea and the beautiful pool at Casa Nalum, which was always kept sparkling and clean. The yoga deck was lovely as well for morning yoga sessions. A truly incredible stay.
