About this house rental

Our house is beachfront in Carlsbad village with beautiful views of the waves from the large balcony on the top floor. Spacious open style living area with modern kitchen, dining room, family room, and 2 large Master bedrooms with bathrooms, each with a super comfy king size bed. A third "add-on" bedroom is accessed through the upstairs Master bedroom, but does have its own doors for privacy, windows for natural light, and a trundle bed with two twin mattresses. One of the main bedrooms also has a queen sleeper sofa and a work area (desk and chair) with lots of natural light. 5-burner BBQ in our private backyard. The house is only a few minutes walk (a few blocks) to the adorable Carlsbad Village. We have 4 adult bikes, 1 child size bike, plus boogie boards, chairs, umbrella, and toys - everything you need for a fun day at the beach. We have a 2-car garage (doesn’t fit a Suburban, but we have space in the driveway for a large car). Bathrooms are showers (no tubs) and were remodeled in Jan. 2025. Fully stocked with towels and bath products. Kitchen is clean and fully stocked with all kitchen necessities provided for your cooking ease. Three 55-inch smart flat screen TVs. The private backyard is fully enclosed for extra space to relax, cook on the BBQ, or let kids run around safely. Private front door and garage door entrances ensure social distancing safety. The view of the ocean is priceless! Our house is a great choice for your next vacation and we look forward to hosting you!

About this house rental

Our house is beachfront in Carlsbad village with beautiful views of the waves from the large balcony on the top floor. Spacious open style living area with modern kitchen, dining room, family room, and 2 large Master bedrooms with bathrooms, each with a super comfy king size bed. Beautiful beach house, in a wonderful location! This house is directly across the street from the beach, and also walking distance to all of the great restaurants and shops in Carlsbad village. My family of 6 adults stayed here, and we had plenty of space for everyone. We loved using all of the beach gear provided in the garage, and had so much fun riding the bikes into town every day to shop. Mike was a wonderful host and responded right away to any questions we had. We love Carlsbad, and would absolutely love to book this house again if we return.

This VRBO was in a good location (good sunsets and short walk to downtown Carlsbad) with comfy beds / blankets and good amenities (kitchen supplies). Communication with the property manager was very good as well. Our group was disappointed in the condition of the home which needs some reno (stained carpets, stained couch, outdated bathroom, mirrored living room walls, offset knobs on the stove, dirty baseboards, etc). Might be good for a group of surfers but we wouldn't return to this location since it's outdated.

This property had a wonderful setup for a private birthday party. We celebrated a milestone birthday for my wife and this was the perfect location. The view from the balcony and sounds of the ocean late and night / early in the morning was phenomenal. The community was quiet and calm, even traffic was quiet. The rooms were spacious, the third bonus room is a room within the uppermost bedroom. There was just an abundance of space, we were overwhelmingly pleased. Thank you.

This place has pretty much everything you need and more! First of all, communication with the host was quick and easy. The place was clean, well maintained, well stocked and nicely decorated. Great book and game selection too. Great location right across from the beach and so many beach supplies. I would book this place again in a heartbeat. The only thing I would mention is that the “add-on” is more like a sun room off of one of the bedrooms. It worked for us bc we just put all the kids in there, but may not be the best option if you need 3 actual separate bedrooms.

We very much enjoyed our stay, being right across the street from the beach was very nice. My son was thrilled there was a boogie board and a wetsuit to use. Close to walk downtown to shops and restaurants. The only hiccup was the listing says 3 bedrooms, which technically it is but the 3rd bedroom is not a separate room like you would expect. The hosts responded quickly to my inquiries. Overall, my family and I will stay here again. We loved our trip!!

Carlsbad is a great little town that is centralized to any major tourist destination north or south. The house was perfect for our needs and Mike was a pleasure to deal with. Our group of six friends enjoyed a wonderful 5 days at the beach house. We started our days watching the morning beachfront walkers and topped them off watching the sun set over the ocean. The home is immaculate and well-equipped. Everything we needed was where one would expect to find it, which was not only convenient but also made us feel welcomed. We appreciated that the beds were all comfortable and the linens clean and fresh. The double main suite layout worked well for our group. The location was great for us. Tamarack Beach is right across the street where we could walk along the boardwalk or on wide packed sand when the tide was going out. Carlsbad Village is a short walk. We also ventured about 30 minutes south to the Torrey Pines area to visit the Salk Institute and hike the Torrey Pines Reserve. There’s plenty to do right at the beach and in Carlsbad, but should you want to venture further afield, the location makes that easy too.

The property was exactly as described. Clean with all necessities available. Bedrooms were large and comfortable which made for a good night's rest. Considering the property is on a major blvd, it's very quiet at night. Enjoyed sitting on the deck viewing the ocean especially during sunrise and sunset. Dealing with the property owner re arrangements was extremely easy and he made the process easy. I would definitely stay here again!

This beach house was exactly what my family and I were looking for. Clean, comfortable, and close to the beautiful Carlsbad beaches. I was worried about crossing the street to get to the beach but drivers are very aware and respectful of pedestrians and stop to let you cross. The Main Street with shops and restaurants is an easy walking distance but far enough away so that you don't have crowds and noise. The house is well supplied with toiletries, laundry soap, and kitchen utensils which made our stay stress-free. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We have stayed at this lovely property a couple of times and it never disappoints. Amazing sunsets, supremely easy/close beach access (and a lesser-crowded stretch of beach to boot!), quiet neighbors and a safe location. The property owner has thought of just about everything to make this house feel like a home. COVID cleanliness protocols are exceptional. We had an amazing time at this property. The location is perfect; right across the street from the beach, near the crosswalk, private garage parking, fun people watching. The owners provided a lot of extras: stocked kitchen, bikes and other sports equipment, toiletries that you forgot to pack. My interactions with Mike were all positive. House was very clean. This property definitely lives up to the description and images! Our family spent time on the balcony enjoying the view, walking the beach in search of shells, visiting Legoland (recently opened with limited capacity), and visiting the Carlsbad Flower Fields! We dined at Campfire and Vigilucci's, both were within walking distance from house and delicious. The home was well equipped and we found everything we needed! Thx to the owners for sharing their lovely beach house!
