Holly Hill Cottage: 2 BR, 1.5 BA House in Cambria, Sleeps 4

The home is clean and has everything we needed. We enjoyed being in the woods, neighbors still close enough, for all the birds and deer to view. There are three things to keep in mind for convenience to the property. The street is a loop, so if one entrance is blocked (a box truck was unloading at a neighbors) we took the other direction on the loop to get to the home. Second, entering from the main highway instead of from downtown Cambria, requires a blind turn across traffic. I’d advise entering the street to the property from town instead of the highway, unless there is little to no traffic. Finally, there is a significant an angle down from the street to enter the driveway. We had to remove our platform hitch at the street and reattach it on the street before leaving as the angle was problematic with the platform on. Enjoy!

We enjoyed our stay, with our dog, at this home on a quiet street in a neighborhood just above the town of Cambria. The home was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking supplies. It is a two bedroom two bath home with the two bedrooms and one of the bathrooms upstairs. Note the upstairs bathroom only has a bathtub (no shower). The bottom bathroom has a shower.It is a 5 to 10 minute walk down to the town where you can also find a very nice dog park. There are stairs that you can take at the end of the road near the Cambria Pines Lodge. However, we used the hiking path which you can find off the corner of Rogers and Pine. There is a Dead End sign, but it leads to a dirt path down the hill.The only complaint we have is the driveway. There is a lip at the top of the driveway, which makes it difficult to get on to the driveway which is short but steep. It was a little difficult to back out of the driveway, but our SUV managed.All in all a nice clean house in a pretty neighborhood

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was very well maintained, with kitchen well appointed. We loved sitting out on the deck above the trees. This was a writing retreat for us and we got a lot done in the peace and quiet.

This unit isn't what I've come to expect from Scenic Coast property rental. It is very dated and not very comfortable. We would not stay there again again.
