The name of the house "APITHANO" in Greek has two meanings, one of them is impossible and the other is amazing.The house has been recently renovated in order to manage to adjust to the modern way of living and in parallel to keep its unique traditional character. it was "impossible" to be made but the result is "amazing"
It is a two storey house but because of the outside landscape each floor can be "considered" to be ground floor.
Downstairs there are two bedrooms,one with three and one with two single beds which share a bathroom.
Upstairs there is one big bedroom with king size bed and its own bathroom .Also upstairs, there is the kitchen area with the living room which share the outside veranta and garden with view to the sea and white mountains

We spent in May ten days in Apithano. The tasteful renovated house (it is almost a new house) is very comfortable, very clean and very well equipped. The surroundings are very quiet and peaceful. It has been for us an ideal starting point for exploring the west and south mountains and the beaches. After one day of hiking, we appreciated so much a rest day at the house, just sitting on the terrace enjoying the mountain or the sea view or reading a book on the long chairs in the garden in the shade of the large olive tree.
When needed, we could always get good advices from the owner Nikos for organizing our visits. It was a pleasure meeting him.
We recommend this house wholeheartedly.
