Welcome to Papa`s Paradise, a haven of peace and comfort as you vacation in the Finger Lakes!

This lake home is located on the east side of Waneta Lake—a small lake within the Finger Lakes region—within 15 minutes of the village of Watkins Glen and 30 minutes from Corning. The quiet road to the house contributes to the tranquility of the setting, as well as the wildlife you may see from the house.
Inside the house you will find a roomy kitchen and a dining room that seats 10t. The attached, large deck provides great overflow space and allows you to enjoy the outdoors in comfort. The deck has outdoor dining furniture and chairs for seating/dining and is just feet away from the water. Sunsets are amazing from the deck and enjoying a glass of wine while sitting around the gas fire pit is a wonderful way to end the day.
Papa`s Paradise is a family home and has had many multi-generational memories made here. You`ll feel like you`ve taken a step back in time but with all the comforts you need.
The house has an open floor plan with the kitchen open to the dining area and living room. Several sets of patio doors lead to the deck from the dining room and living room and provide an amazing view of the lake. The living room has cathedral ceilings and an open stair case to the upstairs, as well as plenty of seating space and the pool table for a good game of pool--with a ping pong table top if you prefer. There is quite an extensive library of books throughout the house for reading on a rainy day, as well as many board games and dvds for entertainment.
The main floor has an additional sitting room tucked away to one side of the house, with a gas fireplace, and just in back of this sitting area is a bedroom with a Queen bed and a full bath with a tub/shower
On the other end of the house, off of the main living room, is the Primary bedroom with a king-size bed and an attached full bath with walk-in shower.
Upstairs is a large bedroom/family room with a Queen-size bed and a King size bed. The large walk-in closet, which is connected to the bedroom, has been turned into a small bedroom of it's own and has a Double bed. There is an attached full bath with a shower off of the large upstairs bedroom. This bathroom can only be accessed by walking through the bedroom area.
The clear view to the west, from the house and deck, gives you the perfect place to catch the sunset. Several kayaks, a canoe, and paddle boat are provided for you so that you can get around on this peaceful lake. You will have your own private seasonal dock for fishing or swimming.
If you're looking for a laid back, casual lake environment to relax for a week or a few days, Papa's Paradise offers that "homey" environment and quiet escape.
*Air conditioning is provided with several mini split wall units in the main living area and upstairs bedroom.
*A limited amount of paper towel, toilet paper, soaps, is provided for each guest.
*The garage is not available for guest use
**We ask that the primrary renter be 25 years of age or older. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with this request
**No pets or animals allowed
**No parties allowed
**Smoking prohibited
**Parking for 4 vehicles only! No EV Vehicles please....there is not an outlet close to the driveway and parking on the lawn is not allowed.
**Guest must comply with maximum occupancy at all times, no exceptions. Only 10 guests allowed, additional guests will be asked to leave.
**Lake conditions are not guaranteed and are non refundable
**Guests are asked to initial a rental waiver, sent via email, immediately after booking
*DOCK USEAGE:
This home has a seasonal dock which is available from mid May to the end of September. Seasonal docks are made for loading/offloading passengers only and cannot be used to secure watercraft overnight or for any length of time.
Guest assumes liability for use of the dock and assumes responsibility and liability for damages done to the dock during their stay, whether the damage is done by their watercraft or the guest themselves.
**Seasonal amenities: kayaks and some outdoor furniture are available seasonally and are often available for use from mid-May to October

The home was ideal for our visit to the Finger Lakes. It was an easy drive to get to Hammondsport, Watkins Glen and Penn Yan. Lots of wineries and restaurants in the area. House had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms all well stocked with towels and soap. Lots of places to sit and gather both inside and out. View of the lake was gorgeous. We visited in the Fall so we didn’t go on the lake but canoe, kayak and peddle boat were provided. Lots of good info provided in the guest book and responses to questions were prompt. Would definitely recommend!

Lots of gathering spaces, deck on lake amazing, water sports availability good. Based on our planned activities good location. Nice neighborhood good for a morning walk. Bathrooms dated and toilets very short. Front steps loose. TV challenging to operate. Not enough chairs at dining table with 2 broken chairs in closet.

This is a beautiful well-maintained home located right on peaceful Waneta Lake! I was looking for a place that would help accommodate my husband's mobility issues and this place did not disappoint. There are a few steps down to access the property from the lawn but there's a sturdy railing. Once inside, the home is spacious, easily accommodating a walker. The first floor bedroom was helpful. This home has a wonderful open floor plan with lots of room, many books, puzzles and movies for entertainment on rainy days. We had a wonderful time playing ping pong! The beautiful deck has plenty of seating, shade umbrellas, and two propane fire pits. We didn't use the fire pits but it was great to know that they could be turned on with a switch. All the beds were comfortable with both extra pillows and extra blankets. Everything was clean! The kitchen has lots of space. Many times we've rented a house and the cupboards are full of dishes with no room for our groceries. This kitchen had a complete, ceiling length cupboard, with pullout shelving where we could place our food. Additionally, we appreciated that it is located on a very quiet side road where we walked daily. Papa's Paradise truly is a paradise; great for relaxing and connecting with family and friends.
