About this villa rental

Warm and welcoming family home, decorated with the charm of Provence. You will live around the swimming pool and can have meals in the summer kitchen, near the barbecue. Breakfast in the fridge on the terrace.

In Grasse :: City of tradition, Grasse is above all the world capital of perfumes and you can, thanks to the visit of the Perfume Museum and Fragonard, Molinard or Gallimard Perfumeries, know all about the fragrances, compose your perfume or walk in the footsteps of Sorenza, the heroine of the book and the TV movie 'In a great wind of flowers'.
The visit of the old town with tortuous and shaded alleys will immerse you in the Middle Ages of Provence at the time when Grasse built its reputation on the tanning of lamb skins.
The 12th century cathedral, the olive oil mills, the surrounding hamlets will be other discoveries of your vacation.

On the department, all the choices are offered to you:
The Coast, its days of sunbathing, its beach activities, its shopping, its crazy nights of dancing ... Antibes, its ramparts, its museums, Biot les verriers, Marineland, the largest marine amusement park in Europe, Monaco, Nice, its market ... We cannot cite all possible activities.
The villages of the hinterland, balconies on the Mediterranean all more picturesque than the others: Cabris, Gourdon, Tourrette sur Loup, Saint Paul, Eze ...
The pre-Alps and their hikes that can be done from Grasse during the day, the Gorges du Loup, the Gorges du Verdon, lavender, the Var vineyards and their little rosés ...
I stop here an enumeration which will be incomplete anyway as our region is full of treasures to discover.

Excellent, well appointed, comfortable villa with an excellent pool, beautiful gardens and first class views in a great location. Super handy for the whole Côte d’Azur. Jean-Luc and his son Jeremy are excellent hosts who welcomed us in person and with some very nice locally produced gifts.

Wonderful characterful family home, incredibly well equipped for self catering. Large swimming pool, comfortable outdoor seating areas and an outdoor kitchen - all very much enjoyed. The icing on the cake was the grand piano in the sitting room, which we all loved playing. Thank you for a lovely stay

The host does everything for that you feel welcomed and relaxed from the beginning. During the week he also made a short follow-up. The house is placed in a very quiet area. You feel the silence immediately. The place is very well equipped both in- and outside. The place is definitely recommendable. Further Grasse is possible to reach in a 10 minutes walk. It is a very cozy city to walk around in. We found good restaurants. The supermarket was around 9 minutes away by car - a huge supermarket with everything your heart can crave for. Small supermarkets are to be found in walking distance as well. We will not hesitate to come back to this place and Grasse.

We were blown away by the beauty of this lovely home - it is in no way your average holiday home, but a much loved property that Jean-Luc and his family continue to devote love and care to. Indoors the quality of the decor is fantastic and it is full of beautiful and unusual pieces of art. The views are spectacular and the pool is larger than we expected - we plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 teens to enjoy themselves. Nice and deep to be able to bomb into! There are multiple areas to relax in - 6 sun beds, deckchairs, outside settees etc, so we weren’t all on top of each other. We loved having BBQs (gas) in the outdoor kitchen - In fact didn’t eat inside at all although the kitchen is lovely and large enough to. We had fun using the fondue and waffle machines too! It is a steep driveway to the house, but this is the same for most properties in the area. It means that you feel incredibly private. The lovely owners live next door and pop in to water the plants before we got up in a morning but other than that left us to ourselves. Throughout the week however they left us gifts of homemade wine, bread and marmalade, roses and homegrown tomatoes. We felt like special guests. We were also provided with free tickets to an Adventure Climbing Park nearby (a family business), similar to Go Ape, which we spent a day at (picnic required and trainers- highly recommended). The walk into the town centre and Boulangerie is only about 15 min - but be aware of the hills - you feel you’ve earned your breakfast! Having trips to Cannes and Monaco were also lovely, but we loved coming a back to the tranquility of Grasse. A wonderful week!!

The house was even better than the photos. We had a warm welcome from Mr. Laforge and a lovely welcoming package with his home-made products and fresh flowers, which we found very welcoming - not to mention the cold drinks in the fridge after a long drive. The driveway down to the house is an adventure in itself, but after a bit of practice no problem. The house was very clean and quiet and the garden with surroundings couldn´t be better. The view from the terrace was amazing and the swimming pool was just right for a cool-down and was big enough for our whole family. The pool was used daily as well as the table-tennis table, which the boys found fantastic. The outdoor summer kitchen was used all the time for our meals and the BBQ/Grill rounded things off perfectly. The house is well equipped and we didn´t miss anything. Grasse town can be reached by foot, up and down hills within 20 minutes, which we found relaxing (not the hills), not always having to take the car. All in all a lovely holiday in a beautiful house in an amazing area and a very hospitable Mr. Laforge + neighbors. We would certainly recommend the house and would love to come back again some time.

We had a wonderful stay in the villa. We were 4 adults and the villa was very spacious, exactly as described. It was cozy and had all the amenities you could ask for. The property is very well maintained by the owner and the pool and the backyard with amazing views were breathtaking. Accessing the villa through a narrow, sloped private road with sharp turns needs some driving skills, but once you get used to it, it no longer poses a challenge. Simply put...this place was amazing and I'd have no problem recommending to others. The owners were very helpful and patiently answered all the questions we had. In particular they were very helpful when our rental car broke down on our way to the airport and graciously offered their helping hand to a person in need. A word of caution if you are thinking of renting a car do not ever rent a French car.

We highly recommend this beautiful villa in Grasse. The house was exactly as shown in the pictures, yet at the same time completely exceeded our expectations. We had found our dream vacation house, located in a scenic and serene setting, yet close enough to walk to town. The owner was very flexible and accommodating with our arrival time, which kept changing because of flight delays. When we arrived, he was very welcoming and friendly. In the kitchen was a basket of delicacies he had prepared for us (wonderful olive oil, bitter orange wine and preserve), all products he had made himself from trees growing in the garden on the property. For food lovers like us, this was the perfect start to a perfect vacation. He gave us a tour of the property and familiarized us with his golden book, a binder containing a lot of information about restaurants, and places to visit in the surrounding area. The house was very clean and well maintained and had all the amenities one could need for a very comfortable stay, including the high speed WIFI for our teenage children. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden and the outdoor spaces are as inviting as the indoor ones. The location in Grasse is very convenient and we were able to visit cities from Nice to Aix-en-Provence, as well as the surrounding area. We had a very memorable vacation at this villa and would look forward to staying there again.
