About this house rental

El Triguero displays the essence of the spirit of Andalusia. A perfect base for exploring the nearby heritage cities (the centre of Carmona is only a 10 minutes drive, Seville 30 minutes, Córdoba 50 minutes…), this vast estate offers as well absolute calm and welcomes you to discover the beauty of its Mediterranean woodlands and of its immense crops plantations on the ferile plains of Guadalquivir. The main house, which occupies almost 1000 m2, is surrounded by huge olive trees, orange and lemon trees as well as a kitchen garden and the relaxing corner of the swimming pool. The interiors, which include a chappel, are partly decorated with antiques and family memories.

If you want an idyllic stay in the Spanish countryside, this is your place. We were a family of 17 and fit perfectly. The caretakers, Carmen and Jose were so kind and helpful in every way. Carmen prepared fabulous meals for us our entire stay. The location is great for visiting Seville and cordoba. The road to the villa isn’t paved, but it’s a smooth ride. We would definitely return if in the area again. I can’t say enough good things about Carmen, and the solitude of this historic house set among pistachio trees.

The reviews and pictures do not do this villa justice, we stayed for 3 nights as a group of 11 and it was incredible. The place is huge it’s practically palatial with a great swimming pool, amazing views, so many well equipped bedrooms and living spaces and beautifully decorated. The outside seating area is gorgeous and the crockery is in abundance we could cook for all of us every night. The villa is really cool and well air conditioned and so many bathrooms for maximum comfort. There are two super friendly and sweet dogs that made our stay even better and Jose and his family were super helpful and on hand. Communication was great throughout. There is a long dirt road down to the property but nothing a car can’t handle and we even managed to get Ubers to pick us up and drop us off to the airport and into seville which was great. I cannot recommend this villa enough!!

We were in Andalucia for a wedding. Our requirements were nine bedrooms as many bathrooms as possible, and a little bit of space. This is more than filled out expectations. Our hosts were very attentive and very helpful. The location is somewhat removed from both Carmona and Sevilla, but not to remote. We would definitely recommend for large groups and families who need a break from the bustle of the city.

The gate to the property is hidden from the main road. It's opposite an industrial park. The private drive to the property is a dirt track and will take 10 minutes. It is only suitable for 4 x 4 cars and confident drivers. However, you can see plenty of rabbits and the odd owl along the way. The villa is looked after by a lovely couple, with a son who can talk a bit of English. They don't. They are on site and will help you navigate the use of the villa. They also tend their vegetable garden with love and care. There are chickens (who are quiet) and two friendly dogs who live outside. The swimming pool was freezing and green but it was November and it rained for nearly five solid days. The accommodation is good, linen and towels are clean. We loved the very quirky touches but it won't be to everyone's taste. This house is loved by the family that own it including peeling paint, cobwebs and the odd friendly mouse. We absolutely loved this house and it worked for our collective family of grandparents, grandchildren and sisters. Outside there is a badminton net and table tennis table (although bring your own balls). The trees have lemons, pomegranates and pistachios. The views of vineyards and further fruit trees are uninterrupted and its stunning. We went to Carmona - not alot to it, Cordoba was stunning and the jewel was Seville. What a beautiful city. The metro was really easy to use and very close to the public car park. Thank you for lending us your home.
