About this house rental
Our 'Someday' Cottage is the place to be any day in Surf City. This adorable 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is a great place to relax and catch up with your family. The screened porch at the front of the home is a welcoming place to relax after a fun day on the beach.
Step inside the home to the open area that includes the cozy living room, dining table and kitchen with hardwood floors throughout. The simple kitchen includes everything you will need to prepare meals during your stay and the open layout ensures that conversations never have to stop. The living room is comfortably furnished with a large sectional sofa and the dining table seats at least 6.
Color cable TV is in sitting area off of bedroom, not living room
Sweet Dreams: *Linens (bed/bath) are not included!
North Back Bedroom - Double with attached den with TV, shared full bathroom - also has access to the sun deck on back of home
South Back Bedroom - Queen with separate space with a daybed, shared full bathroom - washer/dryer are located in the closet of this room
Location:
Your beach rental is located approximately 2.3 miles south of the Surf City high rise bridge. You’ll be near the central part of Topsail Island which puts you close to restaurants, shops, Surf City Pier and more! Be sure to visit some local attractions such as the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital and the Missiles and More Museum, which tells the story of our island’s past.

This house was better than expected! Outside was grown and messy but we managed to still stay there! Inside was very homey and perfect! Outdoor shower was nasty and not usable! We enjoyed our stay and we would consider staying here again!

The house itself is very cute. And definitely good enough for a small family. However, the beach access is not accessible for a stroller or wagon, and this was not mentioned in the notes. We booked this house specifically for convenient access to the beach because we have two small children. When we arrived and packed up to head over to the beach, we found that the access that is advertised has several stairs. This made it very difficult for us to get down to the beach. We were forced to load up the car and drive miles to find an accommodating beach access. We were very dissppointed in this. Also, the "out door shower" that was advertised was not usable. It had not been cleaned or maintained at all. We had to hose off in the drive way before entering the house, rather than utilizing what we thought was an advertised amenity. The water has a certain smell to it as well. Showers and cooking/cleaning were very difficult as it caused the house to smell badly. When we mentioned it to some of the locals, we were told "do not drink the water here". We really enjoyed the island and we had a great family vacation. But we will not be staying here again.
