The house has 6 bedrooms, 4 of which are double and 2 single, 2 bathrooms both with bath and shower.
all rooms have privacy, also there are two rooms with television and two dining rooms
there are large outdoor spaces, the kitchen communicates directly with the outside where there is a large table for eating and there is a beautiful barbecue.
the swimming pool is fenced and is for the exclusive use of guests, with deck chairs and umbrellas.
There are mosquito nets on the windows.

We stay in the area every year to see family, and have always struggled to find a house large enough for us all that is suitable. This house is that and more. The pictures really do not do it justice. The swimming pool is absolutely stunning, and is cleaned every other day. The pool area is a lovely large space we enjoyed daily. I noticed a few comments before our stay about it being too hot without air conditioning and I can say this is just not true. The week we were there temperatures were 33 and we had 3 children in our group and everyone found the evenings very comfortable. Each bedroom has a fan and that is more than sufficient. There is so much room - you have 2 living areas, 2 kitchen areas and the bedrooms, which are all lovely and the beds very comfortable. It is very close to a beautiful town with everything you need and some lovely restaurants. We loved it so much, we have booked for next year! Thank you so much Cristina for your hospitality. Not suitable for under 5's as many stairways and open banisters. Well supplied linen but rooms could have been cleaner. The electrical appliances supplied were not always compatible with the sockets. Many light bulbs not working. Many window mosquito nets missing or broken. The pool was lovely and was regularly cleaned. The owner was very easy to contact and always replied very promptly.

I can only recommend this house! We stayed there with another family (4 adults, 6 kids, 2 dogs). It’s located in a quite remote area, which was perfect for us, surrounded by a lovely landscape with great views. The next bigger town Borgo Val di Taro is only 10 mins away by car. The house is very spacious, nothing was missing. However it could have been a little cleaner. The absolute highlight was the huge pool :-) which kept our kids busy when we were enjoying a wine at the sunny Terrace. I would definitely consider to come again! Magnificent holiday resort with a lovely view! We spent a week in this incredible house on a hill. We were 7 adults and 4 children altogether and the house was big enough to guarantee everybody their privacy if it was needed. The house had several bedrooms, two separate living rooms, two kitchens and two bathrooms. What we (especially the kids) enjoyed the most though was the big swimming pool with a breathtaking view to the hills. We also spent our evenings outside grilling and eating by the big table. The garden was also huge with its several different fruit trees (e.g. cherries and figs) and magical fireflies at night. The owner Christina was very friendly and helpful with everything. If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful holiday location and you don't mind the distance to the nearest towns/cities, we would definitely recommend staying in this historical house. Since the house has three floors, moving around might be difficult for people with reduced mobility. Driving our van up the hill on the narrow road for the first time was also quite a thrilling experience for us! Thank you for your hospitality and your lovely resort Christina! We had an unforgettable holiday!

We staid at Castoglio for two weeks with 2 families (10 person). The house was big enough and very nice. The pool was perfect and was cleand every one or two days. Thanks a lot Cristina for this nice holiday! Stefan

We were two families (9 persons) that rent the house for six days. It's a fantastic huge beautiful Italian stone house with 6 bedrooms, 2 livingrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchen, so plenty of room for large or several families. There is unfortunately no air conditioning so it was rather warm in the bedrooms. The garden and pool area is also beautiful and the view takes your breath away. The only thing I can complain about is the distance to everything, it takes one hour to drive to the coast etc and the last small road up to the house was a bit of a roller coster.

We stayed in Costoglio 3 times, and each time it was just perfect! The spacious garden with a lot of places to relax under the fruit trees, fantastic swimming pool with magnificent view over the mountains and nicely decorated house made our holiday to really happen. A day trip to the seaside - we went to Moneglia, but Lerici is also a nice option - was really great: we drove in the mountains enjoying fabulous scenaries and it took us just an hour and a half to get there. We would like to thank Cristina for her hospitality, generosity and very warm welcome! We would definitely recommend this place for people seeking for rest and space and hope to be able to stay at her place again!
