We stay in the area every year to see family, and have always struggled to find a house large enough for us all that is suitable. This house is that and more. The pictures really do not do it justice. The swimming pool is absolutely stunning, and is cleaned every other day. The pool area is a lovely large space we enjoyed daily. I noticed a few comments before our stay about it being too hot without air conditioning and I can say this is just not true. The week we were there temperatures were 33 and we had 3 children in our group and everyone found the evenings very comfortable. Each bedroom has a fan and that is more than sufficient. There is so much room - you have 2 living areas, 2 kitchen areas and the bedrooms, which are all lovely and the beds very comfortable. It is very close to a beautiful town with everything you need and some lovely restaurants. We loved it so much, we have booked for next year! Thank you so much Cristina for your hospitality. Not suitable for under 5's as many stairways and open banisters. Well supplied linen but rooms could have been cleaner. The electrical appliances supplied were not always compatible with the sockets. Many light bulbs not working. Many window mosquito nets missing or broken. The pool was lovely and was regularly cleaned. The owner was very easy to contact and always replied very promptly.

I can only recommend this house! We stayed there with another family (4 adults, 6 kids, 2 dogs). It’s located in a quite remote area, which was perfect for us, surrounded by a lovely landscape with great views. The next bigger town Borgo Val di Taro is only 10 mins away by car. The house is very spacious, nothing was missing. However it could have been a little cleaner. The absolute highlight was the huge pool :-) which kept our kids busy when we were enjoying a wine at the sunny Terrace. I would definitely consider to come again! Thanks Cristina and all the best for the future.

Alles war total entspannt und easy. Top Anlage, genialer Blick ins Tal. Super Pool in einmaliger Lage. Im Haus viele Treppen und sehr verwinkelt, aber dadurch auch gemütlich. Cristina war eine wundervolle Gastgeberin!

Magnificent holiday resort with a lovely view! We spent a week in this incredible house on a hill. We were 7 adults and 4 children altogether and the house was big enough to guarantee everybody their privacy if it was needed. The house had several bedrooms, two separate living rooms, two kitchens and two bathrooms. What we (especially the kids) enjoyed the most though was the big swimming pool with a breathtaking view to the hills. We also spent our evenings outside grilling and eating by the big table. The garden was also huge with its several different fruit trees (e.g. cherries and figs) and magical fireflies at night. The owner Christina was very friendly and helpful with everything. If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful holiday location and you don't mind the distance to the nearest towns/cities, we would definitely recommend staying in this historical house. Since the house has three floors, moving around might be difficult for people with reduced mobility. Driving our van up the hill on the narrow road for the first time was also quite a thrilling experience for us! Thank you for your hospitality and your lovely resort Christina! We had an unforgettable holiday!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Cristina. Parents, enfants et grands-parents sous le même toit sans aucun problème : les grands-parents d'un côté de la maison et les enfants de l'autre côté. Nous nous sommes régalés au bord de la piscine en profitant d'une vue magnifique. L'accueil de Cristina est très cordial et sa présence à l'arrivée et au départ fut très appréciée.

We were two families (9 persons) that rent the house for six days. It's a fantastic huge beautiful Italian stone house with 6 bedrooms, 2 livingrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchen, so plenty of room for large or several families. There is unfortunately no air conditioning so it was rather warm in the bedrooms. The garden and pool area is also beautiful and the view takes your breath away. The only thing I can complain about is the distance to everything, it takes one hour to drive to the coast etc and the last small road up to the house was a bit of a roller coster.

Nous avons loué cette belle maison 15 jours en août 2016. Nous étions une famille de 11 personnes, parents, enfants, petits-enfants. Cette grande maison ensoleillée est située dans la colline, à 600m avec un magnifique panorama et au loin les montagnes de l’Apennin. Elle est entourée d’arbres fruitiers. Nous y avons habité très confortablement. Nous avons vécu tout le temps sur la grande terrasse, repas, jeux, détente, et parfois l’après-midi, à l’intérieur pour la fraîcheur. La piscine, grande, incite à se jeter à l’eau plusieurs fois par jour. Pour les courses nous allions à Borgotaro, 15’ en voiture, où il y a commerces, restaurants et les services utiles. Enfin les villes aux alentours permettent de belles visites : Compiano, avec son magnifique château et une vue imprenable sur la vallée du Taro, à 1 heure de voiture La Spezia, les Cinque Terre, Parme, Busseto la ville de Verdi ( visiter le musée). Bref cette maison si bien située permet d’allier le calme et la sérénité de la campagne, de profiter du soleil, ici il ne pleut jamais l’été, nous disait la propriétaire, de visiter de lieux historiques et la joie d’être tous ensemble, en famille. Merci à Madame Cristina Paleari qui a été accueillante et prévenante. Comme l’ont dit nos enfants : Arrivederci, alla prossima volta, villa Cristina ! Famille Manghi : de Vincennes (Paris), Toulouse et la Corrèze. ( 5 sur 5 )

We stayed in Costoglio 3 times, and each time it was just perfect! The spacious garden with a lot of places to relax under the fruit trees, fantastic swimming pool with magnificent view over the mountains and nicely decorated house made our holiday to really happen. A day trip to the seaside - we went to Moneglia, but Lerici is also a nice option - was really great: we drove in the mountains enjoying fabulous scenaries and it took us just an hour and a half to get there. We would like to thank Cristina for her hospitality, generosity and very warm welcome! We would definitely recommend this place for people seeking for rest and space and hope to be able to stay at her place again!

This place is just great for nice holidays. We were a big family and the house is quite big and nice. We could rest properly since the house includes two different parts, two different living room as well. We could also be all together outside or inside. Everything was perfect but the thing we loved more than anything else was the swimming pool with an incredible view. Cristina is really nice and helpful. She was there for one day to help us out with everything. The lady who came to clean the house at the end was really nice too ! Borgo Val di Taro is a small town but we can find everything that we needed. And we loved the market on Monday. We are not sure this is typical of the place, but everyone we met there was nice ! Thanks !

Ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub in Castoglio! Den Weg zum Haus (über eine schmale Brücke und über Serpentinen den Berg hinauf) haben wir täglich gerne auf uns genommen. Denn das gepflegte Anwesen (Haus, Garten und Pool) sowie die schöne Aussicht haben uns dafür täglich belohnt. Die Bilder und die Beschreibung entsprechen absolut der Realität. Jedes Zimmer hat seinen eigenen Stil und wurde liebevoll eingerichtet. Beide Küchen sind gut bis sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch hier hatte es an nichts gefehlt. Ein Gärtner kümmerte sich mehrmals die Woche um den Pool und den sehr schönen Garten. Die gemauerte Grillhütte wurde von uns mehrfach genutzt. Wir waren 2 Familien mit insgesamt 8 Personen und haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir verbrachten jeden Abend auf der Terrasse und genossen den Sternenhimmel (Wichtig: Citronella und Autan...) Tipps: Borgo Val di Taro 2 Supermärkte (1 am Ortseingang u.a. mit Frischfisch, 1 am Ortsausgang ähnlich einem deutschen Aldi) Markt im Ortskern (jeden Montag Vormittag. Hier gibt es fast alles) I due Gatti (mega leckere Pizza mit dickem Teig) Sehr schöne Einkaufsstraße (siehe auch Bild in der Anzeige) Die Burgen in der näheren Umgebung laden zum besichtigen ein (Unser Tipp: Castello di Compiano). Auch Parma ist ein Besuch wert und in einer Stunde bequem erreichbar. Das Meer ist über die Autobahn am schnellsten zu erreichen (Unser Tipp hier: Lerici). Wer kleinere Kinder hat oder selbst noch eines ist: Der Fluss Taro lädt ein erforscht zu werden und Staudämme zu bauen! Die Menschen vor Ort sind sehr gastfreundlich , verstehen aber leider nicht alle die englische Sprache, insofern sind italienische Sprachkenntnisse von Vorteil. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin erfolgte problemlos in englischer Sprache. Wir durften Cristina und ihren Mann zum Urlaubsende persönlich kennenlernen. Ein sehr zuvorkommendes und gastfreundliches Ehepaar.

La propietario es tal y como se describe, esta en una zona muy tranquila por lo que es ideal para relajarse y descansar. La casa es clásica aunque un parte está totalmente reformada, la piscina es espectacular y las vistas son preciosas. Cristina la propietaria lo tiene todo impecable, muy cuidado y limpio, se ha preocupado de que tuviéramos todo lo necesario para tener una buena estancia. En la zona hay numerosos riachuelos donde poder darse un baño, nosotros fuimos con los niños y lo pasaron en grande. En el pueblo hay varios supermercados donde abastecerse de todo lo necesario. En definitiva,un lugar del todo recomendable para descansar y relajarse.
